ORGANICA, featured in this Music Forms episode, is the second project of Piotr Cackowski, a Polish DJ, music producer, and live performer, also known as Zeu5, who produces deep house and dub techno. Inspired by many talented artists, he explores the world of downtempo electronic music. His sound is characterized by oriental influences, atmospheric depth, warm tones, and positive energy.  In addition to DJing, Piotr works in his home studio, where he has released several tracks on labels such as trndmsk, O’tawa Records, and Kośa Musica.

CAP was born as Csaba Benko on the 3rd of August in 1988 in a small Hungarian town, Oroshaza. His enthusiasm towards music showed in a very early age. At the age of 1 his father’s headphones were already his favorite playthings. Soon he started to be interested in different music genres and eventually Hip-Hop became his choice. When he turned 13, he formed a break dance crew with his friends. Since he did not have access to the Internet back then, he had only a small number of music tracks. This is why he started mixing tracks together so that the crew had a wider variety of music to dance to. However, this was not enough for CAP, he wanted to compose his own music. At the age of 15, he composed many instrumentals for Hungarian underground rap artists like Day, Steve Antal and Siska Finuccsi and by the time he turned 18 he had already featured countless tracks. However, he was not satisfied with the soundings and wanted to create something new in his instrumental music as well as the mixing of vocal sounds. He created a small studio in his room, where he could record sound in a much better quality. He also improved his studio mixing & mastering skills. These resulted in many new partnerships. In 2009 he won a remix competition for Siska Finuccsi. Since CAP had always loved acoustic music, he decided to form a band, Hiányzó Láncszem (Missing Link) in 2010 with two of his friends. They wanted to reform Hungarian instrumental music in underground hip-hop. Their first album, Élő Zaj (Live Noise) came out in 2011. The album featured the best Hungarian artists, for example Steve Antal, Marge, Bobakrome, Day, Szokratesz and Siska Finuccsi, and also many great DJ-s, like Györemix, Kortez, DJ O’Neal and DJ Zulu from England. Not a whole month had passed after the release of the album when Steve Antal asked the band to feature his album. All 16 tunes on the album named Dogma, which won an award for being the best album of 2011, were made by the band. The year 2012 has been very busy with work for CAP. For ex- ample he won a remix contest for the American rapper, Skyzoo and he built many new relationships with this opportunity. He moved to England to fulfill his long term goals as well. In 2013 he took part in a project called Euroskankin' in Manchester where he col- laborated with Bedos (France), C-Zar (Netherlands), Mr Fox (Jamaica) and many more artists. Meanwhile, he continued his work in Hungary, including instrumentals, mixing and mastering for Day's new album, Atlantis. The Hungarian rapper Senki Bolondja can't have made his debut album (Intenzív intrika) without CAP's help either. He was the composer, producer and sound engineer of the record. CAP is planning on continuing his collaboration with both Hungarian and international musicians. He makes instrumentals and takes on other studio works regardless of his place of residency.
