Aussie maverick Restricted bounds back on Smash The House with his anthemic party take on 90s classic ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit.’
 
A symbolic record of 1990s grunge, origionally performed by Nirvana, ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ is no mean feat to transform into a dancefloor-ready production but Restricted shows no signs of breaking under the pressure. Introducing a rampant bassline that soars the bpm into hard dance territory and soon raises in cohesion with the iconic guitar riff known by all. Breaks are as high-octane as the humam ear can withstand and begin to ebb the vocal cuts into the soundscape. A fan favourite from the decades for sure, now laced with Restricted’s addictive hard techno sound, ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ is a destined crowd pleaser.

This album came together late at night. Headphones on, city quiet, screens glowing.
It’s built around that feeling of being awake when everything else feels offline.

Lives in the space between cinematic cyberpunk and underground bass music .... gritty drums, distorted synths, glitchy transitions, and heavy low end meant for night drives, gaming sessions, and headphones-only listening. A lot of the tracks feel like scenes instead of songs. Short moments, long builds, drops that hit without warning.

There’s influence from hybrid trap, Y2K bass, dark EDM, and industrial textures, but nothing here is meant to sound clean or polished. The glitches stay. The noise stays. That’s the point.

If you’re into cyberpunk visuals, night drive playlists, dark bass music, underground EDM, or cinematic electronic tracks, this album fits that lane. It’s not festival music. It’s not background music. It’s for people who like their sound a little rough and their atmosphere heavy.
