11xxx27 & Mystics - Live Session

Unknown Fate is a collaborative live project between German experimental techno artist OAKE and British producer and live performer Samuel Kerridge. 
Self-described as the ‘power metal techno’ duo, the project was born from an Atonal commission. On April 10th, UF are dropping ‘Unknown’,
their debut EP and four tracks of unadulterated sonic warfare.

"Forged through friendship, addiction, and debauchery, UF is the sum of our parts. It’s taken over a decade to formulate these ideas and the noise is palpable. Pack your end of world survival bags and prepare yourselves for the ensuing riot.” 

Samuel Kerridge and OAKE started creating music together when they shared a studio in Berlin, and have been making music together for a decade. This is the first time that they have released music, and it’s been a long time in the making. Initially just a live act, this year sees the duo releasing two EP’s in April and May with an album in the pipeline - they will also be embarking on a live tour. As stand alone artists they have a cult following and have been pushing boundaries with their live performances.

Reminiscing about the leadup to their Atonal debut OAKE speaks on the magic when creating music together, "There were no egos, there was just this pure energy of whatever goes goes, if someone doesn’t like something, we throw it out - just striving for a sound that would satisfy us both and not giving a single
fuck about what anyone else would think. It all felt so natural and easy. Unlike any other collaboration I had done before. We wanted to create something for that space in Kraftwerk, that huge power plant, that massive building with its huge walls and concrete columns: a sound that would fill that entire space and rip people's ears off. The most exciting part was that no one, not even our partners had heard any of the music we were going to play. Also Atonal did not have an idea what was coming for them. Playing that night, a show that was only 38 minutes long was pure ecstasy. We both were high on adrenaline and
became addicted to that feeling and knew, we wanted to make more of this.”

Ronny Pries is finally back, releasing his new EP ‘Zero Four Zero‘ on Abstract Rhythm. He
contributes four brilliant detroitish influenced techno and electro tracks, perfect for creating
some late night heat on the worldwide dancefloors.
As those tracks mean a lot to Ronny, especially ‘This ain’t Jazz‘, he felt like they belonged to
be released the oldfashioned way, on 12‘‘. Ronny has been releasing electronic music since
the 90’s. Zero Four Zero is his first EP after a long release-absent time where he was
focussing on several other music and non-music related projects. ‘‘So, as much as this
release marks the beginning of something, as much does it conlcude something. There’s no
(such thing as) time.“

On June 27, 2025, a long-dormant signal reactivates from Hamburg's hidden places: Helena Hauff and F#X return as Black Sites with R4 on Tresor Records—their first full-length album and the first release under the moniker since 2014. Like a hieroglyphic recently discovered and translated, R4 feels more like a long-awaited resumption than a comeback.

Recorded to tape with minimal editing or post-production the record is a classic example of the symbiotic relationship that can come from the interaction of human and machine. This punk ethos isn't invoked through distortion alone, but through method; in the album's breaking from the received wisdom of hardness tethered to speed as most of the tougher pieces are lower BPM and vice versa (with one notable exception in the mind-melting stomp of BLOKK).

Across ten tracks, Black Sites traverse a landscape where genre dissolves into intention. It migrates through electro's danceability, acid house's corrosion, and into the liminal realm of machine funk—a genre coined by Andrew Weatherall, which sounds like the results of technology dreaming of soul where the emphasis is on live execution, on immediacy over perfection—a sound forged in the act of creating, not polishing.

In a 2013 interview, around the time of the first Black Sites EP, Hauff was quoted as saying that she wants "things to fit together properly, but on another level, I really want them to make sense together." That principle animates R4: The album's form reveals itself in time, with each movement echoing and amplifying the others to create a synergistic whole.

From the opening crawl of C4 (a name that like the music foreshadows the explosions to come) to the end-of-the-night bliss of MOTHERJAM via the intense peaks of BLOKK, 707, and classic acid track 3D it's clear that R4 is a work made with serious intent; a refutation of a world where streaming has made the two-minute single the dominant musical form again. R4 demands immersion, not just attention. It is not a collection of tracks, but a singular, recursive experience: a mirror in which sound and listener repeatedly rediscover one another.

One year ago, 61 artists came together for our charity compilation VA002, breaking the silence to support the Palestine Children's Relief. Since then, the situation has not improved - it has worsened beyond comprehension. Gaza has been under siege for over 17 years. But in recent months, the brutality has intensified to an unprecedented scale. The only thing allowed to enter Gaza are bombs. No food. No medicine. No aid. Just destruction. In response, we return with “Tearing of the Temple ╪ HYMNS REWORKS”, a special remix compilation featuring selected tracks from VA002. Each remix stands in solidarity with one family in Gaza - one track, one act of support, one voice against the injustice. In a world where every word carries weight and every silence has consequences, looking away is a privilege we cannot afford. When the cost of silence is complicity, we choose to speak through sound, through action, through art. As artists, we hold a responsibility that goes beyond creation. We are here to challenge the status quo, to confront injustice, to amplify truth, to raise awareness and to ignite empathy where numbness threatens to take root. This is not about politics - this is about humanity. This is a human crisis. The atrocities unfolding in Palestine demand more than hashtags and headlines. They demand courage. They demand compassion. They demand unwavering solidarity. Failing to speak out in the face of genocide is a failure of conscience. Silence is a privilege, and Silence is deadly! Through our music, we resist. Our genres -Techno, Noise, EBM, Punk, Experimental- were born from resistance. From the fringes. From the refusal to conform. We return to that core now- This compilation is not just music. It is defiance. It is mourning. It is protest. These genres have always stood for freedom, for defiance, for the creation of alternate futures. In a time when culture is commodified and voices are censored, our sound is rebellion. Each beat is resistance. Each note is a cry for justice. Each track is a bridge to those whose voices are being drowned in war.                   
This compilation is more than music. It is a sonic protest, a declaration of solidarity, and a testament to resilience. We are not just artists. We are storytellers for the silenced, architects of hope in a collapsing world. Let this remind us: True freedom cannot exist until all are free.                                                                   One for all, and all for one. Free Palestine.

Hamburg’s Helena Hauff and F#X return resurrect their darkly experimental Black Sites project after an 11 year hiatus.  Their first full length LP – for Berlin’s techno institution Tresor Records, no less – pulls about as few punches as any of their material, improvised live and recorded straight to tape with minimal editing and post-production buffing up. ‘BLOKK’ has a touch of the distorted glories of Aphex’s early Polygon Window work, ‘C4’ has a low slung bassline throb and supercharged kick meets radioactive cymbal rhythm track, and elsewhere skeletal electro and Throbbing Gristle-style industrial noise either does battle or teams up. Maximum toxicity!
