We are proud to announce our next episode in the Berlin Mixtapes series. This episode has been compiled by the mighty POoK who has been a Berlin resident since the beginning of 2016 and has played at multiple events at the Green Door Store as well as every Berlin Beach Kollektiv Terrace Party on Brighton seafront held at theTempest.

POoK has a self admitted love for Berlin and adores the synthy and progressive shades of German Techno. POoK has also taken charge of 5 of our own Berlin Radio shows throughout 2016, something that has given him great pleasure to discover new avenues and experiment with new sounds and genres. In his own words "I love playing the Berlin show as it really gives me the opportunity to play music I often don't get to play but really grabs me and enables me to explore heartstrings that rarely get pulled". 

This particular mix features lushes deep techtonic rhythms and bass lines with cracking melodies and punchy beats that grab you by the jugular and make you take notice. Enjoy this mix as it sums up POoK in his performances for Berlin and will no doubt have you punching the air with joy.

Bruno Otranto did his doctorate in “Dance-floor psychology”, which you automatically notice whenever you enter his sound zone. His music combines sensitivity and is profound in how it inspires you, taking you deeper into his world of musical magnificence.

Otranto converts his set into a fledged story, a tangible music fused together with elegance that allows you to enter unknown dimensions, where the only valid law is to dance till you drop.

His career as a producer began 5 years ago, having worked with labels such as Monog Rec. Novo Music, Share Rec.

Currently residing in Berlin, he has an impressive roster of continued residencies around some of the best clubs in the German capital, such as Golden Gate, Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, Chalet, Suicide Circus, Grießmuhle, Weekend Club. We love this Mixtape and no doubt you will too.

"I love Christian's work so I was totally into the idea of swapping remixes for our albums. The only problem was that when I listened to his album I found a lot of ideas that grabbed me. So I asked for stems for 3 different tracks, and started with some experiments to see which might lend itself best to a remix, which turned into two finished pieces in the end. 
The first was a remix of Vind, which I started by layering Prophet chords over Christian's riff and chopping up the vocals into fast repeating units. It was one of those tracks that just seemed right to me without any percussion or detailing, I wanted to focus in on the harmonies and leave it at that, just creating progression with an ever increasing opening and layering of the elements."
