Melodic techno is one of the newest trends in electronic music and represents a unique subgenre of techno. While it retains its repetitive and progressive arrangements, it focuses more on melodic ideas and development than on texture- and ambience-driven sounds.
The three Italian producer duos Mind Against, Tale of Us, and Agents of Time are considered pioneers of the genre and began producing such tracks in the mid-2010s. This was followed by a true triumph of the style across the globe, which continues to this day, has found numerous imitators, and has a vibrant scene. The style is closely related to melodic house and, together with the latter, even received its own chart on Beatport.com, the largest distribution site for electronic music, in 2018. For the spring season, the aspect of vocal dance is laid into focus; reflected through the bond of music and words, where the vocalist is as important as the artist. Titled In Bloom to reflect the illumination of color as flowers blossom, the 2025 edition marks the ninth outing of this particular concept, and anticipation for its release grows with every passing year.

In Bloom is heavily influenced by pieces which have been appraised by Global DJ Broadcast listeners across the last 12 months, along with premieres to shape the remainder of 2025; and features a cast list of lyricists the community holds dear.

A deeply-considered reflection of vocal favorites, straddling the lines of trance, progressive and melodic techno, In Bloom 2025 is dedicated to dance music's wide community.

Transmission is regarded as the leading indoor dance music event festival in the world, and Markus Schulz's career is greatly intertwined with its history. Now established in the Netherlands, the 2025 edition is themed The Temple of Time (an anthem created by Coldharbour's Daxson). The May World Tour features Markus' set live from the event in full.

The second half of the show features a bonus one hour mix Markus made while in transit from Europe back to Miami over Easter weekend, one full of reflective tones.

Capture Radio emerged from my profound love for electronic melodic music, aiming to create a space where listeners can find, or lose, themselves in the sounds and come together to feel that universal connection through true music.

The name "Capture" signifies those moments of complete immersion and emotional resonance with the music. I believe music connects people and conveys powerful emotions, and I want to harness and 'capture' this through my weekly show. For my DJ sets, I’m influenced and inspired by the sounds of melodic house & techno, progressive, and trance, which allow me to tell and share my musical story. Simultaneously, I provide a platform for emerging talent and local artists, helping them gain the recognition they deserve.



Capture Radio airs weekly on SLAM, one of the Netherlands' largest radio stations, with a special live recording from my studio on the last Sunday of each month, accompanied by a YouTube video.
