No straight lines, no steady form, this is KATERMUKKE and always reflected in our music. Following this claim we are happy to  announce the bombastic solo follow-up release by VALENTIN

Some say that VALENTIN is reminiscent of a female counterpart to Kraftwerk. Besides that she is also a founder, painter and mother. Her drums are driving and lashing, her German lyrics (sometimes mixed with English) unpredictably clear and her clarinet a shot in the heart. A newcomer with lifelong practice.

Bombastisch is the new mantra for our mirrors and refrigerators: "I feel bom bom bom - bombastic!" With these lyrics from VALENTIN's new dadaistic NDW-Techno single "Bombastisch" in our ears, we'll be walking through the streets. The song is a daily empowerment to stand up for yourself, to celebrate yourself and life.

In the autobiographical single "Kleine Villa" VALENTIN talks about love, courage and solidarity and those are exactly the three components which mean wealth to her.  The musical mixture of playfulness and heaviness, 80s retro sounds and technoid drums reflect the lyrical content: encouraging each other to pursue goals, daring everything, but not putting anything above love.

Jonathan Hoffmann, the man responsible for recording and mixing our album "Beyond The Zero", has won the award "Goldener Bobby" in the category "Jazz" with this very tune. Consider it as something like the Oscars for sound guys (just without worldwide TV coverage). But that's not it: Jonathan has even won in another category (Rock) with his own band "Monophonist", where actually our very own bassist Kenn is also playing!
Well, Jonathan, congratulations for your (much deserved) double score and thank you for terrific work!

Wat ein erste Mal! Wat ein Vibe! Das hätte ich mir so nicht mal erträumen können! Tausend Danke an euch Alle. Ich habe lange hin und her überlegt ob ich das Set Hochlade oder nicht. Aber die Ankündigung „ein Erstes mal“ trifft auf „nichts ist Perfekt“ zügelt den Perfektionismus in mir und lässt mich das Rauschen der Aufnahme und für mich viele andere Dinge in Hintergrund stellen. Abgesehen davon haben echt viele von euch nach der Aufnahme gefragt und ich bin ein Fan von Original Aufnahmen (nachspielen wäre nicht das selbe). So einen erstes Live-Set zu erleben hat mich auf jeden fall sehr motiviert. Ich darf an einigem arbeiten und feilen und werde weiter produzieren! Das wird die nächsten Wochen/Wochen passieren. Voller Freude und irgendwie Surreal würd ich sagen klein Iva jetzt auch als Live-Act am Start zwar in Kinderschuhen, würd ich mal sagen. Aber wachsen müssen wir Alle in neuen Dingen die wir tun. Liebe geht an euch alle Raus. Ich freu mich über Support wenns euch gefällt.

For their new studio album, the Cologne-Berlin band envisions a picturesque piece of land in the mountains and by the sea, surrounded by dense forests and vast steppes, ancient ruins and futuristic eco-cities, perfect for skiing, surfing, and playing golf.

In Valonia, only full board can be booked, including cocktails, coffee, and snacks. To guarantee this all-inclusive service, the four musicians have expanded their personnel competently and consistently: The Greek Berliner Evi Filippou brought her entire vibraphone, marimbaphone, and percussion arsenal to the studio and can be heard on all tracks of the album. The Belarusian Cologne resident Oxana Omelchuk appears here and there with her theremins and EMS synthesizers, which are probably older than all band members combined, and in the last piece "Playground," Istanbul native Elif Dikeç makes a cameo appearance, singing in Turkish about gardens and spirits before disappearing like one herself.
