The veteran Brazilian producer Gui Boratto has always had a way with musicality and drama in his music.

This EP for Zatar displays a lot of the things we have come to expect from him - rich instrumentation, lots of melody, and a deep, emotional take on dance music.

The original version Déjeuner Sur L ́Herbe combines a chugging groove with pianos, guitars and thick bass - a full movie sound- track in one piece.

CIOZ and Fairplay provide the remix duties for the 2nd version, teasing out the ele- ments over 8 and a half minutes, and twis- ting it into a psychedelic epic.

Johannes Albert also provides a rework, dialing into a more machine funk vibe while letting the groove breathe.

Exclusive Santiago Garcia 'Wait A Minnute'

French label Sweet Musique is about to release two various artists compilations – 'Day Tales' and its counterpart 'Night Tales' - to close its successful year. Both compilations unite a wide spectrum of electronic music's sub-genres as well as artists, who either have released on the label or make their debut. One artist, whose year has been as successful as the label's as he released several well-received EPs, tracks and remixes on renowned labels such as Exit Strategy, Multinotes or MoBlack is Santiago Garcia, who contributes two tracks, 'Wait A Minute' and 'Apes On Mars', to both of the compilations. After 'Apes On Mars' was premiered last week it is now time to get a proper listen to Santiago's second track 'Wait A Minute', which will be part of the 'Day Tales' compilation. The track covers a slightly more rhythmically influenced approach that represents the artist's vitality and in the course of the track is enriched with Spanish guitar sounds. Thus 'Wait A Minute' does just what the track title suggest the listener to do: slow down, give yourself to the music and enjoy the moment.

Santiago Garcia's 'Wait A Minute' will be released as part of Sweet Musique's 'Day Tales' compilation on December 19th, 2018

Marino first got our attention with a tune called ‚Can’t feel‘ a few years back. We played that track for ages, followed him since then and his music always found a way into our sets. Since we started the Siamese label he was always on the wish list to make a record for us and after his successful debut on the latest ‚Siamese Anthology‘ EP we can finally reveal a full EP from Marino Canal. 

The title track ‚A Fire In The Sun‘ has been a permanent tool for us since we got it. It is changing the mood especially in the first part of our sets, letting us go many directions after it. It‘s calm but powerful, emerges suddenly but then goes back to its steady groove.

‚Her Perfect Sky‘ is Adrian Schweizer‘s favourite and was featured in the recent and highly anticipated Cercle set we played right in the French Alps. It did fit perfectly to the surrounding and we really had the perfect sky that day. 

Next up is ‚White Atlas‘ which reminds us a bit of the minimal era. There have been a few tracks back then which had enormous depth and warmth and this one goes a bit into this direction, with a catchy but darkish melody. 

‚Distant Borders‘ marks the perfect finish for us, a nicely moody track that doesn’t try to steal the show but works in its own way.
