I loved carillon music since I was a little boy. So in May 1977 I met a friend in Amsterdam, who lived in Loughborough and he invited me to stay in his house on Fredericstreet for a holiday. His house was situated on the bottom of this tower so I was surprised there was no automatic chimes because I was used to that here in Enkhuizen. I met the man who played on the bells. It was really beautiful and I still have a lot of slides of this visit to Loughborough. The large bells were beautiful but the smaller bells were not so good. The smallest were double I remember

Op 26 mei 2024 zong de Martinus Cantorij uit Zwaag (NH) deze Engelse Vesper (Choral Evensong) in de Zuider- of Sint-Pancraskerk te Enkhuizen. Het koor stond onder leiding van Bas Halsema die ook voorzong. Het orgel werd bespeeld door Jan Spijker (voor en na de dienst) en tijdens de Evensong door Bas Groenewoud. Voorganger : Ds.
