Crush On My Hometown

Carin is a songwriter focused primarily on country and pop music, based in California.  She and her co-writers, Chris Rizzo and Fran Litterski, were named the Grand Prize Winners in the 2022 Great American Song Contest for their song 'Listen to Country.'  In October 2022, she won Songtown's Townie Award for Song of the Year with her song 'Only a Backroad Knows,' that she cowrote with Steve Smentek and Derek James, and she was named one of two Co-Writers of the Year.  Previously she has been recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting in the Country Category of the 2021 Great American Song Contest, received Honorable Mention in the 2021 and 2022  NSAI Song Contests, and had songs named as semi-finalists in the 2021 and 2022 International Songwriting Competition.  She also received an Honorable Mention in the Aug/Sept 2022 and again in the March/April 2020 American Songwriter lyric contest. She is an active member of Songtown and NSAI and is always looking to collaborate!
