DJ Alcyonek  (@alcyonek) started her DJ career back in 2013 in Mexico City, and co-founded the famous Totentanz night, one of the leading Minimal Synth parties in the Mexico City scene. Since 2013, she has also played at many other underground parties, primarily focused on the Minimal scene, at venues all over Mexico.

DJ Alcyonek is the founder of the new party, Sintetika Secuencia, which strives to capture the frenzy and the passion of the Mexican Minimal scene of the early 2010's. Her DJ sets encompass everything from Minimal synth, Darkwave, Underground Electronics,New beat, NDW, EBM, Dark Synth, Obscure 80's, etc but with one eye always firmly focused on the dance floor!

A lot of bands are trying what The Exorcist GBG are doing, to make timeless, mind bending, dance music but they often fail in reaching all the way. The Exorcist GBG is the band that seem to exist in a dimension, much like ours but that lacks time as we know it; time is stretchable backwards and forward, and being in this dimension allows you to travel while, still staying in one place. Call it time travel if you will or moving outside of time rather. The Exorcist does this. Also they reach our dimension. 

The members who also can be found in Uran, Tentakel, and Sork among others, formed The Exorcist GBG in 2012 and started by playing illegal techno clubs for the true undercurrent citizens of Gothenburg, Sweden. The reputation of this dangerous psychedelic band, who plays funk the way funk should be played soon reached Stockholm where they got a cult following just by word of mouth. Over the past four years their following has grown exponentially!

The recording of “II” was a trip into the abyss and back, with a lot of time and money spent, outrage from the members and record label executives biting their nails down to the bone. But that is how The Exorcist GBG works – tension is a vital part of this bands nature, hence it’s sound. The tracks’ aggressive approach and the feeling of being possessed by something evil lurking inside of you mirrors the process of making this album. But listening to the album back to back and hearing how the songs intertwine, lets the true face of The Exorcist shine brightly over you.
“II”, released on Höga Nord Rekords is dimension expanding and time dissolving music.

LFL7 - MAKiNA GiRGIR - Torment LP (Teaser)

Die Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) ist die Bezeichnung für die deutschsprachige Variante des Punk und New Wave, die ab 1976 aufkam und Anfang der 1980er Jahre ihren kommerziellen Höhepunkt erfuhr. Die NDW stellte keinen einheitlichen Musikstil dar, sondern zeigte sich sehr mannigfaltig. Es lassen sich für viele der Künstler Attribute finden, die sie von der Masse anderer Künstler unterscheiden würden. Kennzeichnend waren jedoch vor allem die deutsche Sprache, die relative Kurzlebigkeit und die häufige Rohheit und Kühle. Letzteres war der Grund, weshalb sich manche Bands gegen den Trend dieser Zeit davon distanzierten, jede deutschsprachige Popmusik der NDW zuzuordnen, wie z. B. Spliff. Aber auch ein Minimalismus der Darbietungen ist oft Stilmittel gewesen. Viele der Künstler waren nur damals musikalisch aktiv oder erfolgreich, einige hatten um 2000 ein Comeback.
