When Ferreck Dawn and Robosonic collaborated in 2018 to produce ‘In Arms’ it went on to become one of the biggest tracks of the year, soaring to #1 in the Beatport chart and accruing millions of streams. The vocal top-line with Nikki Ambers ‘In My Arms’ that followed earlier this year cemented the producer’s place as a member of the Defected family, opening Ferreck up to a new audience of house music lovers. Now he makes his solo debut on the label with his latest track ‘You Are The One’. Featuring a cut up sample from Jocelyn Brown’s timeless classic ‘Somebody Else’s Guy’, Ferreck’s latest release is self-assured and high energy, showing the Dutchman’s natural flair for creating thumping club-focussed records. After OW001's maiden-voyage into outer space, Outworld now takes us to the underworld courtesy of label head Klangkuenstler's 'Balthazar' EP, which marries raw peaktime-power with claustrophobic-come-ecstatic atmospheres, served over the course of four tracks.
The devil's dancing on the title-track: as serrated off-hits shatter on tough kicks, a wicked saw-riff begins to drill through the drums as if summoned from Hades. In contrast, the bass-driven body and pulsating sinus-tone of 'Zorn Amons' grind like teeth as they build in tension. A moment of illusive release comes with 'Das Schattenreich', on which the reverberating, fast-paced percussion
runs for escape, hunted fiercely by a meaty trance-lead. On 'Jenseits', though, Klangkuenstler pulls us back into purgatory, showcasing a dramatic end to a carefully crafted and devilishly fun EP of rough club bangers.

Drumcode starts 2020 with a sterling EP from genre hero Thomas Schumacher, his first on the label after a long association with Adam Beyer.

No ifs or buts, if you’re a techno fan, Thomas Schumacher holds a place in your heart. His 1997 classic ‘When I Rock’ still gets rinsed, he has a vast body of stellar work on his influential former label Spielzeug Schallplatten, including a release from Adam Beyer, and he continues to deliver pin-sharp productions via his Electric Ballroom imprint, including a scorching remix of ‘The House of House’, the 1994 classic from Cherry Moon Trax. The rework was first played by Beyer at Time Warp and has been a 2019 highlight.

He first contributed to Drumcode in 2018 with ‘The Unseen’, a stirring contribution to ‘A-Sides Vol.7’, setting up a maiden EP with ‘Crimson’. Beginning with the brilliant ‘Feist’, it’s a no-nonsense brain melter, as 303 arpeggios bloom and recede, creating a thrilling rhythmic intensity throughout. The title track ‘Crimson’ is crafted around two minutes of tension-building synths, before a beat finally appears and a rasping deep bassline commands the dancefloor. ‘Anker’ brings the rave with eagle-eye focus, unleashing a wall of fierce acid to round out the pack.

Phutek is back on Intec after last featuring an EP on the label in 2017, and this time he returns with the legendary Frankie Bones.

Frankie Bones was one of the people who pioneered techno in New York back in the late '80s after the genre first started to break out of Detroit.

Along with his many international DJ gigs, Frankie Bones has also released tracks on labels ranging from the iconic TRAX, to his own imprint Breaking Bones Records.

Since his last release on Intec, Phutek has been busy with releases on a wide selection of labels including D.A.V.E. The Drummer's Hydraulix and Spektres Respekt Recordings.

The last time Frankie Bones featured on Intec it was the rerelease of his classic anthem Call It Techno, which was one of the label's biggest selling tracks of the last two years, but this time he is back with two previously unreleased collaborative tracks.

Acid Souls opens the release with a rippling acid-line fused with trippy vocals and a pounding kick drum. Dark and twisted, this track has a timeless style that takes influence from the sinister vibe of '90s techno.

Track two Killer Custard is all about the electric pulse of the killer lead synth that pulsates through the entirety of the track. With stabbing chords adding to the drama, this frantic track is fast and furious with a style that takes no prisoners.
