Two-time International Film Music Competition nominee (2019 and 2023) and two-time composition grant recipient Carl Falkenau, began to study music in his early childhood, got his first official composition job at sixteen while a student at Musikkonservatoriet in his hometown Falun, and eventually graduated the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, 2006.

His work ranges from chamber music and a grand mass for soloists, chorus, organ, and orchestra, to educational media scores, Scandinavian TV soundtracks, arrangements for Swedish artists, a choral symphony, and even cinematic metal album releases. He works from his own studio in Southern Sweden while also sharing his expertise as a classical piano teacher.
