   •   Fue el tema debut de George McCrae.  ￼
   •   Escrita y producida por Harry Wayne Casey y Richard Finch, miembros de KC and the Sunshine Band.  ￼
   •   Grabada en 1973, lanzada en mayo de 1974.  ￼
   •   Géneros: disco, soul.  ￼
   •   Fue uno de los primeros grandes éxitos disco crossover.  ￼
   •   Alcanzó el número 1 en las listas de EE. UU. (Billboard Hot 100, 2 semanas) y en el Reino Unido (3 semanas) en julio de 1974.  ￼
   •   También fue número 1 en la lista de R&B de EE. UU.  ￼
   •   Vendió más de 11 millones de copias físicas, siendo uno de los pocos sencillos con esa magnitud de ventas.  ￼
   •   Su grabación base fue hecha muy rápido: en unos 45 minutos, en formato demo, con Casey (teclados), Finch (bajo y batería) y Jerome Smith en guitarra eléctrica.  ￼
   •   Fue diseñada para usarse una máquina de batería (drum machine), una novedad para ese tipo de producciones en esa época.  ￼
   •   Curiosidad: la versión no estaba pensada inicialmente para George McCrae; la idea original era que su esposa, Gwen McCrae, la interpretara, pero ella llegó tarde a la sesión de grabación.  ￼
   •   Fue influyente: John Lennon dijo que “daría un colmillo dental por haber escrito eso” refiriéndose a “Rock Your Baby”.  ￼
   •   Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus (ABBA) la citaron como inspiración para “Dancing Queen”.  ￼
   •   Incluida en el álbum Rock Your Baby, que salió en julio de 1974.  ￼
