ANNE is a tribute to the legacy of Anne Frank from the Swedish pianist Carl Liungman's solo piano debut album BORN (2020).

This is minimalistic piano music, burgeoning, searching and hopeful, that opens up both the living room and inner room of the listeners heart. Neither major nor minor chords are dominating, transforming the music into a quaint soundscape with the naivety, self-assurance and wonder of a child.

BORN is piano music devoted to its simplicity and intimacy, as understated as it is energetic, like the melancholy of reflection, in the light of life.

Carl Liungman’s album Born was released worldwide on all major digital music platforms on May 22 2020.

This piece is a diptych. A piano improvisation played on a Bechstein grand piano. Recorded in Huarod, Sweden on February 3rd, 2014.

There is no connection with The Scorpions song with the same title. But when I read the lyrics in their song I noticed that my piano work is all about what they sing. A strange coincidence:

CARL LIUNGMAN (*1971-) is a Songwriter, Neoclassical Pianist and Composer based in Sweden, Europe.

His piano music is unmistakable: A unique blend of Cinematic piano, Classical virtuosity, melodic Pop music and Jazz. The atmosphere created by Carl's inventive solo piano playing is both emotive and expressionistic; gentle tunes with sparkles of powerful key attacks and rhythmic tension.

Carl Liungman’s piano sound derives exclusively from acoustic piano recording hardly replicated by contemporary digital instruments.

Carl Liungman’s debut album 'BORN' was released Worldwide in May 2020.

In November 2022 his Second piano album 'SHINE' was released on all major digital music platforms. And in March 2023 his EP 'AFFECTION & ABSENCE' was released.
