This one I finished last week and everyone that has came to the studio and heard me working on it said they wanna hop on it. I tell 'em they gotta go hard if they wanna jump on this wax.

The other night I was supposed to go to the club with the crew and I was listening to that "Watch the Throne" cut called "Who Gon' Stop Me" trynna get ready and then I ran into this other song and I started seeing parallels between the two. I began chopping up some samples and it was already last call for alcohol on the clock so I just stayed in and finished this joint. Kanye West Type Beat 'Higher Planes' by Carlo Cartier

I finished this original beat about a week ago. It all started with the 808 bassline but then that just became a drum pattern all on its own and then I found this useful brass synth. I was having difficulties incorporating any other instruments without taking away from the dirty-ness of it, but it still felt empty so I went through a few effects and found the air horn that's looped throughout the track.

This cut is a little different from what I'm used to making in the sense that its probably the least aggressive beat I've made in a while but it still go hard though. I was digging through some samples and I heard a few sounds on this one song and I had to do the damn thing. I'm proud of the final outcome of this instrumental. Let me know what you think!
