Tripmastaz steps up to throw down his third release for DJ Sneak’s I'm A House Gangster label. Following two full original EPs, the Russian House music producer calls on friends Carlo Lio and Bebadim to remix his latest single TomzWork.

An influential player in House circles since the late 90's, Tripmastaz' music can be found on top labels including Be As One, Moon Harbour, Cecille, Magnetic and his own Plant 74 imprint - all solid proponents of the House Gangster culture.

As the title suggests, TomzWork sees Tripmastaz getting to work on the tom-tom drums, providing a jacking, tribal groove underpinning an incessant, looping, deconstructed vocal sample. Carlo Lio brings a heavier feel with stomping beats and a dirty groove, while Bebadim adds some swing and a bumping bass line to his relentlessly driving remix.

Tripmastaz explains the story behind TomzWork, “The Original version was produced around 2006 during the really short live late-night session when I was f**ing around with my vocal sample. Somehow the finished version dropped to the bottom of my unlimited beat stash! :) 2012 was the year when I showed it to Sneak. Another year and a half passed by and next thing I know Sneak is loving it and The Martinez Brothers are playing it on Boileroom TV. Shouts to Carlo Lio for a tasty fat remix and I had to get my boy Bebadim on board with his version too!”

Things get started with title track Expose and the result is nothing else than a pretty dark techno production.<br />
Next up is Base One which boasts with a crunchy rhythm section and distressed synthesis over a bass-heavy drive, which then leads us to Distraction coming down strong via the use of huge chords and mighty stabs. Closing up the EP with Control, Konrad pushes even further, with a hypnotic bassline and sneaky electronics interlaced throughout the clever arrangement.</p>
