Echoes of Dawn is a musical journey created without borders, driven purely by feeling and the desire to explore sound in any territory without aiming for a specific genre. It reflects a freedom in music creation, where each track was allowed to evolve naturally over time.

Balanced and Sunrise were both recorded live through spontaneous studio jams, experimenting with decay, filters, and modular synthesizer sounds. These tracks found their place in my sets, often used to balance the mood during late-night or after-hours moments. The entire album spans many years, with some tracks dating back to 2013, only reaching their final form recently.

This project represents more than just dancefloor moments. It’s a deep, personal expression of evenings and mornings spent crafting sound, whatever felt right in the moment. Lead to the Chords, Say It, Mindset, and 2Ms bring energy to the dancefloor, while tracks like Modular Mornings and Afternoon Jazz are designed for more introspective, home listening experiences.

I'm incredibly thankful to Marc Romboy for recognizing the depth and range of these tracks, compiling them into an album that tells a story I may not have released otherwise.

METODI HRISTOV: Live at Egg London mix + interview

After his set on May 23rd, we caught up with Bulgarian based Metodi Hristov, talking about his exclusive mix recorded live at Egg, what he got up to whilst here in London, and what to expect from him in the not to distant future.

Hi Metodi, how are you today - what have you been up to since your set at Egg? 

 Hellooo :D I'm happy! After my gig at Egg London I traveled back home and started to work on a remix for Noir Music and the weekend after I was on a little tour in Russia. 

The mix is great and it was recorded right here at Egg! What was the idea behind your set that night?  

Thank you! It may sound trite, but the idea was to show myself through the music, like on every one of my gigs. I like the variety and always try to mix the tracks very fast and not to bore the people with long similarly sounding phrases. I’m also always trying to show a lot unheard and unique sounding tunes, tunes that you can't find on soundcloud or beatport. The main idea was to show something really different :)  

Are there any tunes in the mix that people should be looking out for? 

 I'm very proud with the fact, that I always play 50 - 60 % of my own music in my mixes including a lot unreleased material. In the mix you can hear upcoming tunes for labels like Defected, Terminal M, Noir Music, Toolroom Rec., Deeperfect Rec., Knee Deep, Material, Suruba, King Street, Kinetika, Be one Rec. and more. So stay tuned, big things are coming up very soon! :)

How did you find Egg more generally? 
Egg is one of the best clubs that I've ever played! The atmosphere, the crowd and the entire Egg crew… It was an amazing night, maybe because there were a lot of friends with me. It was really the perfect night for me!

Did you do anything else fun while you were in London? 

Yes, we had a lot of fun. I was travelling with my girlfriend and my brother and I also met so many friends. We had a really good time in London.

Finally what plans have you got for summer in terms of releases, gigs and personally?

I’m really looking forward to my South American tour in August. I'm going to stay about a month there and I'm very excited about it. Also many gigs in Europe and Asia are coming up, a lot releases for the labels that I’ve mentioned before and a lot collaborations with some of my favorite artists like Shosho, Gallya , Stefano Noferini and many more. But the biggest thing that I’m looking forward is the launch of my first label, together with Gallya and my agent Marin in the end of this year.

Polish born, Berlin based ‘VONDA7' grew up on Hip-Hop and R’n’B, soon discovering French House and Techno. During the time spent in the UK, she soaked up Garage and Caribbean sounds, and later dived head-first into Disco in Amsterdam. Eventually, VONDA7 moved to Berlin only to come back to where it all started and learn even more about the roots of Berlin, Detroit, and Chicago's electronic music culture.

After a prosperous 2018, that included a successful releases on Kneaded Pains, the art | werk label boss returns to Last Night On Earth with her latest offering 'French Express'.
