Really Great is one of those tracks I started a long long time ago... just fragments of the original idea now. A drum loop off my old mpc, a chopped vocal, a mood I couldn’t name. I sat on it like I do, just to forget about it, then pulled it out of the archive and mashed it back together with some fresh samples and a new trick or two.

It’s lo-fi house, techno-adjacent, whatever. Banging kick, tucked hats, and a vocal of sorts. Real loopy... maybe even meditative. Doesn’t rush anything. It takes its time getting where it’s going, but it gets there. Atmosphere more than anthem. A little cracked, a little submerged, but it is what it is.

Call it "lo-fi sample house" if you need to label it. I just call it Really Great.
