2018 marks the first full calendar year of President Rodrigo Duterte's term/regime. To commemorate this, I have written a song of protest against the slaughter of my fellow Filipinos, among other things. I play the guitar and the crappy harmonica as well.

Sundo - Cover (w/ Iya Villanueva)

I wrote this song a while back sometime in mid-August, 2017 when Kian delos Santos, a 17 year old student from Caloocan, was abducted, beaten and executed by two police officers in plain clothes. He was blindfolded and made to shoot a gun that was not his. He was found dead with a pistol, four cartridges, and two sachets of shabu. The suspicion is that these were all planted by his murderers. 

I did not post this song then, but I am posting this tonight in response to a 13 year old boy from Tondo, Aldrin Pineda was shot and killed by suspected police officers. Aldrin dreamed of becoming a police officer himself. The tragedy of it.

Official data says 3,993 people were killed in police operations by the end of 2017. The administration has refused to label them extrajudicial killings. 

This is in tribute to the lives unjustly taken in this bloody war. This is not my first, nor will it be my last.
