MF Records is back with a brand-new track! (7 actually) – a diverse Spring Sampler featuring rising artists in the underground dance music scene both in the UK and Internationally! 

We welcome back such artists as MF lead man Shane Mahon and Jo.an Julian who had his first release with us in 2020 and has since gone on to release on respected labels since. We also welcome back Frazer Hamilton who released his 'Abstract' EP with us in 2020 also! Newcomers to the label include Roux, Oscar Silva, Simmo (UK) and Josh Burnett who collaborated with two friends Alex Simpson and Freeman (UK). 

MFRVA 002 comes to you as the UK gets ever so closer to the end of a long and torturous lockdown, providing club-ready heaters from some of the finest up n' comers the scene has to offer. 
 
Frazer Hamilton: 'Late Night Calls' takes jazz n' blues to the nightclub in a concoction of pure sub-bass, bleeps, bloops and dreamy vocals. It's a mystery to us why this track has been kept in hiding for so long, so let's fix that and fire it in our Spring Sampler! 

Jo.an Julian: Tight kits, a robotic atmosphere, cheeky chords and soothing vocals create what Jo.an Julian calls, 'Jmulacrum'. Here, Jo.an's style shines brightly as his productions have reached far and wide since his 2020 release with us at MF. 

Josh Burnett (UK), Alex Simpson, Freeman (UK): A 3-way collaboration providing a deep, hypnotic atmosphere, with thick bass and airy pads – all topped nicely with dreamy, love-filled vocals, thus creating 'Dya Think'.  

Oscar Silva: Mexican-born Oscar blesses us with a chilled minimal production featuring swinging percussion and bouncing synths, prominent features of his growing style. 'Luv Me' is a perfect fit for our Spring Sampler. 

Roux: 'Keep Cool' resonates exactly what it says on the tin, giving that old-school house and tech vibe featuring dreamy pads, house chords and a groovy bassline that will take you on a 9-minute journey to the 90's. With that, we welcome Roux to the MF Family! 

Simmo (UK): One of four tracks sent to our demo box, 'Burn For You' displays a jackin' bassline and chords left, right and centre – a teaser of what's to come from Simmo in the coming months on MF! 

Shane Mahon: MF head honcho returns to his label's catalog with his signature style in 'Invenio', featuring playful bikini bottom chord progressions and a walking bassline to get you swayin' on the dancefloor.

French artist Damien Almira aka Timid Boy is back with a bold new EP on Moan Recordings which reflects the stylistic evolution his sounds have made over the last two years. His original comes with remixes from Nacho Bolognani and Per Hammar. 

The tunes here are still driven by groove, but go deeper into more sophisticated sounds and textures. They come after the classically trained pianist and former Trax Mag deputy editor has released on the likes of Roush, Deeperfect, Saved and his own Time Has Changed label.

Per Hammar version presents a more dubbed out and stripped back groove of Leo that gets you lost in the music.

Detic’s fourth edition is brought to you by Blackdub aka Dan Black. Under his new alias, he debuts with this solid 3 track EP showing what he's really capable of. The lead track ‘Pure Steel’ really does have some punch especially in the low-end frequencies where the heavy layered bassline really does pleasure the eardrums, which gels with the spacey chords throughout the track. Definitely one for the peak time slots! The lead track is also remixed by hot property Mehlor who needs no introduction with his production capabilities this remix has an infectious groove and a lot going on but everything is crafted to have a purpose which definitely comes through with amazing sophisticated snappy sounds that cause you to vibe to it! The B side ‘Broke Reflections’ is parallel to the vibe occurring in the lead track but Blackdub incorporates a vocal sample alongside a teasing long breakdown to blend in with his new devised signature sound.

Carlos De la Ruiz is a DJ/Producer from Los Angeles who began his career at the age of 9, exploring Rap and Hip-Hop genres. At 12, he discovered a passion for electronic music, particularly EDM. In 2014, he focused on underground electronic music, specifically Deep Tech and Tech House. By 2018, he shifted his musical selection towards Minimal Deep Tech and Micro House. After the pandemic in 2022, he found his true musical identity in Minimal Deep Tech.

As a producer, Carlos De la Ruiz has achieved Top 100 Beatport rankings in the Minimal Deep Tech genre multiple times.
