This New York based trio has recorded a fascinating collection of Eino Leino’s poetry composed by Sanni Orasmaa. The lyrical melody lines and improvisations are wrapped with Ole Mathisen’s distinctive saxophone sound and NYC down town scene piano player Russ Lossing’s creative stylings creating an album of flowing, soulful music. The album, Laulun Lapsi “Child of Song” came out in June 2010.
