THE EVOLUTION OF BEATMAKING:

In the beginning Carlton Manoxide (Irvin Boseman) was a struggling rap artist who searched desperately for a decent beat. It was this frustrating search that started a hunger to create a legacy, label & legend.

When a legacy is created, the individual who starts it has no idea what he maybe creating. We are unaware of the monsters we create. In this case, Manoxide started making beats at the age of 17. Coming from a family of musical influence, he says “It was no coincidence, as much as an advantage.“

When asked “what made you get decide to get into beat making” he said "I just wanted to make some of the dope beats, like some of my influences were using. I spent a lot of time emulating that music, ironically, that music became a golden era and now that's what I'm offering to my artist, and the others that I work with."

While on his journey of producing manoxide has collaborated and made alliances with other producers, and artist such as Wu-Tang Clan, The Clipse, Ti, Stetsasonic and a few others.

Manoxide said "It's a lot of people I would like to think who believed in me, the music, and the vision more than I have. I came up with the name by listening to one of my favorite groups The Roots. It was the album called "Things Fall Apart" and it had a hidden track on there. As a matter of fact all their albums have one... so it hit me! That's the name of my production. I never thought it could be a label. It's like living a childhood fantasy. I used to wanna be like RZA, or Rico Wade." When asked how he came up with me name Hidden Traxx.
