Cwengile "Carl McCool" Siwahla (born June 7, 1994), known professionally as "CARL MCCOOL", is a South African rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer from Mthatha straight from the heart of Eastern Cape (Transkie). He is currently independent. Carl was a member of the group called Thugs Angels during is high school period (2008-2010). After high school all members went to enroll in different Universities around SA. 

Carl started an independent recording studio and named it after the name of the street he grew up on. In 2014 he dropped his first project (EP) working with MONOLIVET. After which he released his debut solo mixtape "ADULTHOOD The Mixtape" in 2016. During that time he was getting a lot of recognition in the underground world in different provinces, as a result he worked with rappers like "PENDEMIC" (Polokwane LMP), "YARISIN" (East London EC), "LAZ" (East London EC), "CRUCIAL STYLE" (Jozi GP), "MZEKE, PRISMO" (UTA EC), "HORROR" (Cape Town WC) and more. Carl is also a founder of the hip-hop movement  distributors "NA MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT" which also has a  growing video production company " NA MEDIA FILMS". In 2018 Carl released his album titled "TOO DEEP_The Lost Samples", He stated that the concept of this album determines how he does music, Carl shared a few words during an interview.

 "I believe that for every project that an artist works on must elevate the consciousness of the crowd you make music for so that they can learn and relate to it. that's why in my last album i decided to take it back to basics and resurrect BoomBap, the real Hip Hop that peaches the scriptures of our daily living, especially if u reside in the Ghetto and tribulations you be facing is what what I've been through, then you can comprehend and learn from my conscious raps. Carl's music is based on true events that occur around him, he takes all the good and bad around and and educated his listeners about whats going on in our daily life's so you know in all the struggles you face you are3 not alone.
