After a series of standout releases in 2023 on labels like Nervous and Armada Subjekt, Carly Wilford has secured her space as one of the most promising new names in dance music. Announced as one of the ‘Future of Dance’ best producers in the world by 1001Tracklists and with shows at Glastonbury and Radio One’s ’Big Weekend’, she is firing on all cylinders right now. Carly is an avid attendee at our ‘We Are Listening’ events that encourage women in dance music, she has completed 2 Toolroom Academy production courses and has signed 2 album exclusives to the label in recent years, so this is a real career highlight and success story that proves, hard work does pay off! Here she teams up with dubstep legend SGT Pokes who, for the first time in his career, lends his trademark, gritty vocals to a tech house track.

The record itself is a heads-down, tech house stomper! It has a real unique, original flavour and will be setting dance floors alight as we enter 2024!

Announced as one of the 'Future of Dance 2023’ Top 101 Producers in the world by 1001Tracklists at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, the list celebrates artists that have been important in defining the sounds of the electronic music world over the past 12 months.

With her tunes heavily backed by Radio 1, she opened the Dance Stage at this year’s Radio 1's Big Weekend in Dundee as well as playing the BBC Radio 1 Dance stage at Glastonbury. Rolling off the back of a game changing summer that saw her hand over to the likes of Hannah Laing, Arielle Free, Monki and Meg Ward, she is releasing new music with Nervous Records, Armada and Toolroom as well as collaborating with house music legend Todd Terry

Leaders of The New School Presents Carly Wilford

With her weekly show 4:4 on Tomorrowland One World Radio, Carly Wilford pioneers the first ever dedicated house music show on the station. Bringing the underground to the global stage and championing club culture on one of the world’s biggest dance platforms. After a breakout run of releases that landed across Spotify and Apple Music’s most influential playlists, Carly has secured her space as one of the most promising names in dance music.  

This summer marked a turning point: opening for Paco Osuna and Armand Van Helden, sharing line-ups with Tini Gessler and Franky Wah and dropping peak-time sets at Tomorrowland, Glastonbury and Boardmasters. With tunes out on Toolroom, Armada and Nervous Records, Carly’s now channelling a darker, more club-driven sound with stripped-back grooves, heavy low-end and raw percussion. It’s a shift that marks her evolution from selector to serious producer; one who’s not just playing the scene but pushing it forward.
