Carmine are a four‐piece rock/pop band, based in Glasgow, Scotland, with a significant following in Latvia and Lithuania. The band have been together for around 12 months, fusing the vocal talents of lead singer Lana Shvilpe with three experienced Glasgow writers and musicians to create a new and exciting proposition. Pop songs in the truest sense of the word. Popular – not throw‐away.

 Carmine write and arrange their songs as part of a collaborative process. Lead writer, Stephen Fionda, works with co‐writers Quinn, Shvilpe and Smith to create carmine’s unique sound.

 March 2010 – carmine write and record their first ep “Helsinki remedy”, available on iTunes and Amazon, with several Glasgow gigs to promote.

 June 2010 ‐ Carmine perform at the “Baltic Transit Festival” in Jurmala, Latvia, to an audience of over 600. Their performance was broadcast live on the Baltic music channel “Latvijas Mūzikas kanāla (LMK)” to an audience of approximately 350,000 viewers in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Finland and online. The recorded performance has gone into ‘rotation’ on the channel, being broadcast twice per week until December 2010. Video from this performance is available at the carmine website.

 August 2010 ‐ Carmine perform at the “Palanga 2010” festival, held in Palanga, Lithuania, to an audience of over 1,200. This performance was also broadcast on major commercial Lithuanian channel “LMK TV” in the prime‐time Friday night slot, to an audience of approximately 200,000.

 The future – carmine are writing with plans to gig and record in Scotland in the latter part of 2010, with performances being arranged in Latvia and Lithuania in October and December. Currently in discussions with major Latvian/Russian record producers to work on projects in Summer 2011.
