The second CARNX track is from talented live-coder artist: BARAMUK. 

Baramuk is a live-coder/producer based in Istanbul. He dedicated himself to the new generation of techno music and underground culture with the impact of his classical music education. In his music, it is experienced the impressions of the environment has lived. He alternates the usual techno understandings to a new structure of techno and captures groovy and minimal tones/ sounds for the audience.

Sukkube and Sage-S met at Gaswerk, Berlin in October 2021. They both started in sound design on modular systems. The "Dark Triggers" EP has been created through 3 big jam sessions where the main patterns were found.

During live sessions Sukkube works with a eurorack system and her VCOs are most of the time used without a sequencer and envelopes which results in a huge layer of metallic noises without boundaries, while also utilising a TR-09 for the main rhythm. Sage-S set is full eurorack and he has a powerful sequencer to design an accurate sound and groovy patterns.

KŐVÁRI is the third chapter of the BRVTAL compilation series that sets memory of Hungarian architecture and brutalism with 14-track contributions by international and local artists.

György Kővári (1934-1982) is the most mysterious figure of the among Hungarian architects in the last 60 years, who built characteristic and well known buildings like Déli train station (1961-62, 1969), Balatonfüred train station (1967-72), Skála (1982) at Nyugati square or not long ago demolished Kőbánya-Kispest metro and train station (1980), just to mention a few. He never gave interviews, he did not talk much about his works in public, and his oeuvre was not even discussed yet. It looks like he only lived for planning buildings in his short life, so it's not a surprise after university he started working at MÁV Design Institute as an architect, later becoming its leader until his death. Furthermore he was chief architect of METROBER in the '70s, where he also worked on the development of transport hubs in Budapest.

We are glad that a lot of new and some returning artists join their forces on this diverse techno compilation with which we commemorate another and underrated iconic figure of the local brvtalism.

"Void+1" is officially starting to unleash its arsenal of 12 releases that have already been scheduled for 2023, and the journey starts with Scalameriya's "Nullification EP". On board are 4 tracks in different styles, specifically designed to showcase the variety of techno-branches that will be explored on the label in the future. From minimalistic structures to metallic stompers, hommages to 90's roots and electric breaks."


A1: "Hix.un'drakonez", a minimalistic, yet powerful mechanoid-track,  is designed to mirror the feeling of dread while sailing uncharted waters and overcoming unexpected, monstrous encounters. Classic "Scalameriya" synths, a cinematic breakdown and a melodic plot-twist! 

A2: "Nullification Alloy" takes no prisoners. A fierce 4/4, metal-bending stomper with piercing synth-vox design.

B1: "And... Action!" depictc a b-movie fighting-scene with a pinch of comedy. A combination of 90's synth-stabs, the amen-beat, record scratching, but everything is re-created digitally. 

B2: "Blinded By Nostalgia" is a melodic breakbeat track that attempts to simulate the scenario of whistling a track you heard before in the past that you can't remember the melody quite right of so you just fill in the gaps by yourself. 

X1: "Nullification Tool-X" a version of "Nullification Alloy" available only on Void+1 bandcamp with the purchase of the whole release.

Starting off with the anthemic ‘I’m Your Pusher’ Kaylah is drawing on old nostalgic rave vibes producing an intense onslaught of machinery. Following on with ‘Greed’ and ‘Selden Shuffle’ he plays around with the iconic hoover sounds and lashing kicks serving up pure grit, while ‘Greed’ borrows from Trance and takes a more melodic direction.

Ike Dusk shows his strengths with his remix of ‘Selden Shuffle’, dressing up the original with his trademark detailed energy. Finally Olēka goes for a deeper but still uptempo, broken beat version of the more industrial “Possessor” perfectly rounding off the EP.

If you want to piss off your neighbors during all these lock-downs, here's your ammo.
