Here we go with the fifty-first installment of our Concrete podcast series coming from one of our residents and collective members: @djsaunameister .

... not having a clue what is going to face him moving to Berlin for art studies at the age of 20.. Techno slowly became a part of his life.
Reflecting the cycles of everyday life, his passion for dancing through the nights slowly merged into a need to create this kind of sound images himself...

Jeff, dug deep into the club scene of Berlin and made friends with one of the concrete founders @stvyl at Sisyphos, who soon encouraged him to take his approach on productions more serious and try himself with out with mixing. 

One year ago he started mixing with vinyls and his passion grew even stronger. Becoming an inherent part of the collective his abilities could be tested soon on the concrete underground raves and vinyl only open airs of the befriended @veiled_sound collective.

Blending 90's tribal, trance with trippy new school cuts in his mixes, he slowly enters the soundscapes he was looking for during those hot' n' sweaty club nights.

HØLEIGH has been contributing to Manchester’s darker side of dance for several years, but began to surface in late 2019 which saw her transition to techno, electro and trance. Prior to this, Høleigh was collecting a broad range of UK dance styles, hardcore, hard house, trance and hard techno. Musical elements from these genres are echoed in her track selection. This evolution most likely accounts for the predilection of 145bpm+. Accelerating from start to finish and constantly shifting through the gears, Høleigh’s intuition when performing resonates with dancefloors and its punters, all of which stems from her dynamic and idiosyncratic way of mixing and using dj equipment innovatively.

If one had to give three words to describe Kaltblume's (@kaltblume) music, it would be without hesitation: nervous, punk, visceral.

The meeting of two worlds led to the birth of Kaltblume. From an early age, he shaped his musical identity by listening to alternative bands like The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Metallica. But the decisive turning point towards techno came when he came across European warehouses and their cold and massive atmosphere.

As a producer, Kaltblume is constantly searching for alchemy between frenetic rhythms, impetuous bass lines and oppressive atmospheres. Drawing his inspiration from EBM, 2000s techno and industrial music, he likes to define his music as a frenetic journey through contrasting emotions. 

In his DJ set, he takes the audience from ecstasy to torpor with his uncompromising storytelling.
Already supported by many established artists such as Kobosil, SHDW & Obscure Shape and Marcel Fengler, he is a one-to-watch artist seeking to expand his influence on the modern techno landscape in the years to come.
