Carnell attended California State University Long Beach where he was a Commercial Piano Major. From there, his career continued to grow: writing, performing, and producing. Carnell now maintains a very busy schedule as a touring and session musician, arranger, producer, vocalist, musical director, multi instrumentalist and teacher. Carnell's perspective on music is panoramic and unconfined with styles ranging from gospel, R&B, soul , neo soul, rock , jazz, fusion, Christian contemporary, pop, hip hop, and blues.
