The box has mysterious origins. Rumor has it that it was found in the back of a hearse with other enchanted objects.

The original box was purchased online for a music video by Dasychira called "Eternal Family", which tells the story of four YouTubers who wish to seal their fate and be together forever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnMKAquagdI

One day after the video shoot, the box was hidden in a secret location by one of the directors due to another crew's concern of its "dark energy".

Upon coming back to retrieve it sometime later, the director discovered the box had vanished. It has remained missing since.

Now, Dybbuk Box Diablo exists exclusively in digital (and spiritual) form as this NFT.

So, music is a really difficult subject for me. While I‘ve been making it one way or another since I was a child, there have always been dominant people in my life trying to strongly push me into doing what they envision, what they think is good music. This is true for other forms of art as well but in my case mostly about music.

I guess this is why I never really released anything (I did perform tho lol) and also don’t feel happy to listen to my old music. I only hear myself in there partially.

So, over time I very slowly made friends with my occasionally quite odd ears. And managed to find a place where I can touch upon something beyond justification or comparison - it’s fleeting still, I don’t always have it.

This piece was recorded in a single sitting last december and while playing I started crying and I couldn’t stop for quite some time even after I had finished. More composed, less rambly (and also happier/funnier) pieces are coming but this one is really special to me because in playing I managed to open the floodgates and find a place to resonate with my own being, my pain and my joy, far beyond needing to be or do anything other than the music I was touching and being into existence right then and there.

Laying by a cliff, overlooking kilometers of digital, ocean waters. There is nothing else here but arpeggios shivering down my spine. My eyes are closed with only a smirk by my side.

Never could see myself feel this way, laying in the warmth of harmony enveloping me. I have always tried to find myself with thoughts racing through my mind, but for once… I am at peace…

Or so I think.
