Carol Welsman – 

CAROL WELSMAN is an internationally acclaimed singer and pianist whose expressive vocal styling and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences around the world. She is a 6 time Juno Award Nominee (CDN Grammy). Her most recent CD JOURNEY, a collection of song classics inspired by her lifelong love of traveling, received a Juno nomination for Jazz Vocal Album of the Year.  Carol’s 2009 CD ‘I like Men! Reflections of Miss Peggy Lee’  was voted Top 5 CD of the Year (all genres) in USA Today 2010, along with Barbra Streisand and Mark Knopfler. 

In 2015, Carol will release "Alone Together" on August 7th, a CD she recorded in New York. Check out the tracks here!

Whether she is singing the American songbook or Jobim, Sting or Billy Joel, Welsman’s interpretations range from sultry and warm to infectiously energetic. Her vocals run the gamut from hauntingly reminiscent of Peggy Lee to swinging alla Ella, while her block chord piano/vocal etchings set her apart in today’s jazz/pop world.
