Christmas Time

When you meet someone, a neighbour, a stranger on the street, a coworker who is lost and hurting, what will you do?

Lost and Hurting

I was blind. My heart couldn’t see.  When Jesus spoke of His death to me.
Who would have thought? Who could have known? That Judas would betray his own.
Just one kiss, a deathly kiss. What did Jesus do, to deserve this?
He said Watch and pray, we slept anyway, Then they came - to take him away.

There He was. Nail pierced hands.
There He was. My Savior – The Lamb
There He was. Dying to Save Me, my sins – to wash away.

Condemned to die.  An innocent man. Crowned with thorns, then the mocking began. 
His head bowed low, under the cross. The weight of sin. The suffering cost.
And when they struck. Nails through his feet. With each blow my heart missed a beat.
I saw his tears,…his pain and sorrow. “Forgive them” he cried - they don’t know.

Once possessed – now set free. My Savior, Dying at Calvary.
Once I swore - to never leave. Yet I denied Him, in my fear I deceived.
To know our Lord, is to know His peace. No man has loved as we have seen.
No greater love, no greater sacrifice. He gave His all in death and life.

There He Was

There is hope in Jesus for all who suffer from cancer. He will never leave you, always holds you close to his heart, cries with you, he feels your pain. Let Him carry you, carry your burdens, lighten your load. Written for my friend, Nichole Myers, wrestling with a third bout of cancer now, she remains victorious in Jesus.

I got the news today, My job was taken away

No more money to pay, Time to get down and pray!

My heart is pounding inside,  My snug world is ripped open wide,

I wish there were somewhere to hide, Time to let Jesus provide!

O Lord, I call on Your name, I reach out to You, in suffering and pain

O Lord, You hold me so near, You feel every tear, You say have no fear

I got the news today, A good friend has passed away

No more visits to pay, Time to get down and pray!

Can’t catch my breath to cry out, I’m bursting to weep and to shout,

Wondering how it all came about, Time to give Jesus my doubt.

O Lord, I call on Your name, I reach out to You, in suffering and pain

O Lord, You hold me so near, You feel every tear, You say have no fear
