Who Am I? 

Sometimes I still ask myself that question but more times than not I don't worry about that anymore because I'm too focused on the journey that's in front of me.

A long time ago when I thought I knew everything, I paid some serious dues playing every stinking bar/hotel and streets in the US. Someone had to do it.....

After my publishing deals, almost record deals and almost everything else I decided to bag music and swore I would never do it again...even crossed it off my "to do" list!
Became a serious fine art painter and photographer and put my soul into becoming a mom, my most treasured and honorable role.  One day, the paintbrush out of thin air
stopped calling my name without warning, I was choked up and felt lost. Even though mommyhood was my proudest achievement, I had to have a passion and the paintbrush was leaving me
behind like any other lover.  

Then I fell and broke my leg and sat around on the couch for six months eating Oreos and wondering what I was going to do with my pathetic self (and 50 lb overweight body!) 
Not to mention my son was soon to be leaving for college, heartbroken.

So, a friend got me out and took me to a Rickie Lee Jones concert. I always knew her music by heart, but never saw her in concert!  The me walking into that concert instantly changed during those 90 minutes.

I walked out of her concert transformed, ran home and started writing songs again with a ferociousness I've never known in my life - before I knew it I had written 80 songs in six months and knew I had to release the music, but then, that idea morphed into my soon to be released EP's which I just can't believe I did......There are some seriously amazing NYC players on these albums, pianist Clifford Carter from James Taylor, drummer Doug Yowell from Suzanne Vega, and Richard Hammond (currently in the pit every night at Hamilton) on bass. It was masterfully produced by Robert L. Smith and Defy Recordings at Avatar Studios just before it closed. I have tears in my eyes when I tell you I think a higher source lent me these songs because since I know how to do the fierce mom role, I am now a ferocious mom to my 12 brand new songs and so proud of them all!!
