Wow time flies… I played my very first dj set in front of a crowd exactly 25 years ago. I used to practice in the basement of a youth club every week because I couldn’t afford my own turntables. When playing my first gigs I was shaking and was so intimidated I could barely speak. Honestly, it’s still the same even if I’m able to hide it now. If I wouldn’t feel this nervousness and excitement any longer I would let it go and quit. 
Since we are still not able to celebrate properly I prepared a podcast for you with my current favorite slow tracks. 
I think it’s perfect for the upcoming summer vibes, for listening at home and dreaming about festivals 🐈💫🌈❤️🦄

We come bearing gifts... It's only two weeks ago that we shared the dancefloor at ADE. What an incredible two days for The Babylon Family. With so much talent behind the decks and so much love all around.

Truly, spending time inside The World of Babylon helps us to see the world differently. More beautiful.. A place where kindness and compassion is the norm. Where cultures meet, love and befriend. Where you fall in love, find your life partner or friends for life. 

Thank you for creating such a beautiful space.

To celebrate these glorious days we will release many sets of our time together. We start with the closing. A magnificent performance of the great Oliver Koletzki. Wowowowow, perhaps his best performance in Babylon up to this date?

This was hands down the most special party of the year. We didn't plan to upload this recording but the vibe was just outstanding at Acid Bogen so we couldn't resist. Thank you so much to the lovely Mira for trusting us once again, we love you and we loved playing this set on our favourite floor, in our favourite club, in our home town of Berlin. To all the ravers who went down the rabbit hole with us - thanks for creating this moment together with us even though the dance floor was so packed! Nights like this remind us why we do what we do.

Here's the recording of an ambient set I had the pleasure to play at Harvest Festival 2022 this fall. The gathering took place in a beautiful pine forest in Ontario and has been happening for over 20 years now.  

I would describe this set as Yin energy, a place where the rhythms are less dominant, which allows the storytelling to be experienced in a more calm environnement. It’s one of the most fulfilling moments that I felt in my music journey this year. 

In the sometimes chaotic and noisy world we live in, it feels somehow very healthy and natural to connect with these frequencies that are rooted, zen, earthy yet cosmic. A sonic safe space in which we can be present and breathe. 

Like my yoga teacher would say:  may the benefit of this session be shared with all beings in the world.

We are closing this year with the final sets of ADE! In comes our forever hero Milo Häfliger. Due to a busy schedule that ADE weekend, we welcomed him on an early slot on Sunday, instead of his usual closing slots. But whenever or wherever we place this ultra talent he smashed it in any case.. Gosh how we love him and his music!!!

In the end we're beyond grateful to start the day with Milo. It was immediately the right mood, the right sound, the right everything.

Milo Häfliger - The Seekers Of Light ADE Showcase 2022

Happy New Year Babylon Family...

We are closing this year with a very special release. Dive into the recorded set by none other than Audiofly at The Seekers of Light Showcase during Amsterdam Dance Event '22.

Only a few weeks after this magical performance, the legendary and beloved duo announced that after years together they would explore the world in a more solitary way. After decades on a musical journey it was big news to us, but also very inspiring as it in no way means the end for this duo. 

Audiofly has been close to us from the very beginning of the Babylon story. We joined forces for our fifth Babylon show ever and have been working closely together since. The love we feel for these two together or a part is hard to put in words. Both are as close as family. 

Enjoy a beautiful musical ride and the most fitting release to capture the closing of another cycle. Let's find inspiration in their new path and welcome change where needed. The new year comes with new opportunities and new roads to explore.

This burn was by far the hardest we have experienced.

The heat, the white outs were really something else.  But we had a hell of a time.

Playing again on the bus was so much fun!  Damn we missed this vibe! 
We wanted to play for a real party without having in mind this was going to go online! 

So we did and it made sense after not sharing the dusty desert dance floor for two years.
