Just in time for some spookiness before tomorrow, This is my first self-mastered song, was in a slight hurry to get it out before 31st. Inspired by a few favorites should I mention Stranger Things and John Carpenter. Theres just something so interesting about modular synths, most to which I cannot afford so I tried emulating that sound. Feel free to tell me how it is.

Summer Nights

Wrote this song after I had just turned 17 back in the summer of 2018. This is the first full song I ever wrote and I did so in under 10 minutes. At the time, my favorite song to play on guitar was "Stranglehold" so naturally the main riff of Savior has a similar flow and vibe. The lyrics are a homage to good ol’ rock n’ roll, with the hopes that one day there will be a resurgence. The vocals and guitars recorded through Apple headphones (very low production quality). I played all the instruments on this track (vocals, guitars, bass, drums), like with all my music. I created the track through GarageBand and used a Les Paul Epiphone and Fender Mustang for the guitar sound. The track sounds a bit dirty, as there was no auto-tuning or special sound enhancements. Generally everything was recorded in one take (per instrument, including vocals)for the sake of sound continuity in the amp/microphone feedback.

Caroline Holm is an Orange County native born in 2001. She heavily draws inspiration from music of the late 60's to early 2000's. Writing, playing, recording, and mixing all her original music, she derives a unique sound that can be described as a blend of post-grunge, psychedelic rock, and hard rock. Her sound distinctive sound is influenced by bands such as Stone Temple Pilots, Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, the Beatles, Def Leppard, Jefferson Airplane, and Led Zeppelin, to name a few.
