25 years ago (!) we launched Standing Proud; my song which was chosen to represent Glasgow during its Year of Culture celebration throughout 1990. It was, and still is, an immense privilege for me...

Re-reading the lyric now, it holds so true, especially after such contrasts of happiness and pride during the Commonwealth Games and then the abject sadness that took residence in this fine city's history at the end of 2013 and again at the end of 2014. This City of Culture endures!
