Founded in 2019 by Anetha, Mama Told Ya has quickly become a hub for experimentation and artistic expression. It's latest compilation, 'MTY-FEU - "Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble"' is the first & final opus in the VA's elemental series.

Naarm/Melbourne-based Luke Hovey's contribution to the VA is 'Guilty Pleasure', a track which does exactly that.

'Guilty Pleasure' is about as close to donk as you can get without being donk. Hovey is clearly doing everything he can to make bass face undeniable, a clear demonstration of where much of Australia's modern techno is headed.

'Guilty Pleasure' releases as a single this Friday, March 28, with 'MTY-FEU - "Ils s’embrasèrent, réduits ensemble"' releasing Friday, April 11 via Mama Told Ya's Bandcamp on digital and a limited series of vinyls.

In each session, a facilitator administered the vapor by placing the dried toad secretion in a glass pipe, and then heating it up using a torch lighter. During the administration of the vapor from dried toad secretion containing 5-MeO-DMT, the participant remained either standing or lying down on the ground or floor. The participant was instructed to inhale as much of the vapor as possible and to hold it in for some seconds before exhaling. The assistants remained on site after the session to assist in the integration process of the experience if this was deemed necessary and/or requested by the participant. The facilitator would chant (Cantos de Haaco Camaac, healing shamanic chants), and/or play various musical instruments (rattle, drums, flute) during the experience of the participants.
