Leeds based party On Rotation launches it’s record label with a LP from resident Adam Pits. His debut album ‘A Recurring Nature’, draws inspiration from time spent in nature with friends during a year when clubbing was an impossibility. Over the course of 8 varied tracks, Adam moves between club slammers and spaced-out introspective downtempo with ease, showing off the production skills that have made him one of the most talked about names of late. 

Combining the unique style of his previous club EPs with organic sound design and his own classical cello background, the psychedelic sonic palette is reminiscent of long summer days foraging for mushrooms and other treats from the undergrowth.

London-based producer, DJ, and promoter Saoirse announces the launch of her own imprint trUst with her highly anticipated debut solo release.

'TRUST 001' is a 4-track EP written by Saoirse with the concept to showcase what you can typically expect from her as a DJ - jumping through an array of dancefloor moments, a track for each common dancefloor feeling.

trUst is one of the key foundations of safety, within yourself and with others. Vital for good health and happiness. The inception of trUst records was finally being able to trust in one's own ability. Trust in music made for dancefloors. Trust in its simplicity yet importance. This label founded by Saoirse will be asking those who she trusts, herself, her friends and her most loved producers to join the label as collaborators and solo artists.

The steadily brilliant French producer Nathan Melja - who's made the rounds between choice outlets over the past half decade, from Mister Saturday Nights to Antinote, via Ninja Tune offshoot Technicolour and Opal Tapes, seems to have learnt Bruce Lee's lesson by heart, and his seamlessly fluid, no-nonsense debut foray on KOC is here to potently cement his status as one of Europe's number one club trailblazers, and one that knows all too well how to turn any dancefloor into an infinity pool of pure liquid euphoria.

Drawing its name from the physiological and psychological process that results in a confusion of one's sensory perceptions, 'Synesthesia' is indeed the kind of club single that shall trigger off massive reaction amongst right-minded bipeds and chromakey house suckers. Straightforward club business done right, Melja's original is a vivid kaleidoscope of skittish drums, swampy bass stabs and a well-rounded, supremely curvy synthwork, tailored to take ravers on a flash journey through space and time without the help of Richard Branson or Elon Tusk (pun intended).

Called in on remix duty, TTT affiliate and Incienso co-founder Anthony Naples delivers a more fragmented and ambientish variation, though functional and club-ready in its own right. Brushing even wider verbed-out pad tapestries for your brain to wander in, the track expands to deeper organic horizons with a field-depth that can not but recall that of the KLF and Bochum Welt's emotional soundscaping. Meanwhile, Karenn half Pariah takes care of whelming us deep into more techno-friendly terrains, true to his ever masterly touch for epic buildups and multi-level textural innovation, bringing up the acidic phlegm of Melja's original as he treats us to a carefully orchestrated ballet of synthetic whorls, contemplative chords and propulsive drum programming.

Enter GLRY003 and AK SPORTS (Madi Carr), an EP beaming with energy. ‘Polarize’ has brunt and might, it encourages a loss of inhibitions, sweat and to dance however the hell you like! 

Forever championing womxn and non-binary people in the music industry, Madi has gifted us tracks on ‘Polarize’, that’ll have people from all walks of life eager to rave as one. Having commanded the airwaves of UK tastemaker station Balamii, alongside folks such as Chaos In The CBD and Ross From Friends, Madi’s had a brilliant platform to share underground tunes with the masses. This certainly isn’t AK SPORTS first foray into release land either, having piqued the interest of labels both locally and in the Eurozone. Imprints like Of Leisure, Tooflez Musik (Berlin) and Start Local Records (UK) have been chuffed to press her tracks. 

There's a nice spread on ‘Polarize’, a full range of emotions, from the injection of dubstep styled low ends, playful, light percussive and vocal tones of UK Garage and driving nods to techno and uplifting jacking house. Lovers of breaks, bass and sharp percussion, this one’s for you. The opener ‘A Flash Storm (And Then It Was Gone)’ is a menacing recipe of tech stabs and clapping breaks. A2 ‘Houdini’ is a brief reprieve from the wee hours, a shimmering and uplifting roll of synth. Flipping over comes ‘Dit Quelque Chose’, a reappropriating of the breakbeat AKS we already know and love. Translated into English meaning ‘say something’, Madi uses myriad of drums as the driving force for the track. The result, a personal and cathartic release. A comment on that anxious, silent air between two people wrapped in a feud and the insecurity that manifests. No samples here either, Madi happens to be bilingual. Then there’s ‘Tank Girl’, a fun and ultra bold serving, an experimental nod to a spectrum of UK underground club styles. A record that possesses an inherent drive to get out and cause a stir!
