We get close to the end of another weird year, a period made of uncertainties and difficulties, in which, however, we always find a point of reference: the music. Christmas is here and Santa has decided that the time has come to throw one more mix, and this one is a very special one. After 7 years from his first appearance on the channel, we welcome back MEOKO’s favourite Sepp.

The Bucharest-based groover has been on a roll since then, revealing himself to be one of the most prolific producers and DJs out there, pouring all his infectious full-bodied grooves on countless vinyl and digital releases. His sound, broad, hypnotic, rolling, and always with a pinch of local folklore, has resonated throughout the world between big festival stage and cosy kitchen intimate parties throughout, becoming a staple of every dance enthusiast.

DBKA071 - HERCK

Arno & Cap deliver the first edition of our new B2B series, culminating in more than two hours of rousing sound.

The two are familiar faces in the minimal clubbing scene and have both DJed in many well-known clubs over the past decade. It was an obvious choice to bring the two together for a night of clubbing, as their effortless chemistry and easy-going attitude propagated in the entire room. They get music, and they get digging even more.

The mix was recorded in early September '21 at our new venue and captures the energy and excitement of the dance floor, the experience, and the dancers of that night. It pumps from the get-go and is sure to thaw you out throughout the chilly month of February. 

Roaming the genres with a light-hearted attitude and a clear vision of fun, the set is full of unexpected twists to throttling bass, spiraling synths, cheeky drums and break corners that are bursting with passion, vibrancy, and magic. 

No less can be said about their podcast, which drifts unconventionally through styles, eras, tempos, and moods. Sehr lustig!

Music has long been a passion of Jemmi since his early teenage years. He was 14 when he heard his first piece of electronic music, the legendary tune ‘Body Language’ by Booka Shade and M.A.N.D.Y.. Ever since then his passion has been ever-growing, taking him to many festivals and events around the world as well as making him an avid digger.

He was mostly inspired by the Detroit and Chicago sounds but having been living in England he was also heavily influenced by the liquid DNB scene, and after his discovery of the Romanian sound, his ideas were starting to take shape for the future. The transformation of becoming a producer / DJ didn’t happen until the September of 2020 when he decided to follow his passion and love for electronic music seriously. His first release followed shortly with Podvodo Records giving him his first chance to introduce himself onto the scene, and he has been growing ever since releasing tracks from recognized labels such as Tzinah Records, Zebra Records, Carpathian Sounds,PhonicHouse1 Records, Unclosed Music, Welter Records, Tranquil, Concept Records and many more…
