◉ Sebastian Borca aka Verzila is a local electronic music producer and promoter, the one behind the well-known eponymous YouTube channel with the same name. Born in Sighetu Marmatiei, the northernmost point of Romania, he developed a passion for modern electronic dance rhythms from the age of 14, exploring numerous genres and subgenres. In time, he finds various flavors of house and techno to be the ones he resonates with the most and starts dedicating more and more attention to music. In February 2008 he created his YouTube channel, uploading tracks he liked from various artists, including friends and emerging talents. With a focus on deep house, tech house, microhouse, minimal and techno, the initiative enjoys massive success and receives support from many directions. Steadily, the venture becomes a solid promotion platform, currently counting over 102k subscribers, 55 million views and 5479 videos. A new chapter was written in May 2017 when he established Welter Records, an independent imprint aiming to offer more exposure to international and Romanian artists who find themselves at the beginning of their careers. With 200+ releases and 60+ podcasts until now. The second chapter was born in 2021 with the Inunct Music project label that is a free to download label with the purpose of spreading music for free and helping artists expose their vision through music. Currently Inunc Music has 20+ releases. When it comes to mixing he’s rarely seen behind the decks, playing only at a limited number of parties, mostly the ones organised with his long-time friend Mofescu through his party label Oscilatii.

Spanish artist Enzo Leep has been crafting a steady stream of bangers for some time now. From his on-point edits, original works and tidy remixes Enzo has the whole tool kit of weapons in his arsenal. This comes by way of his releases for labels such Into The Wizards Sleeve, Pirka and another future hit for OGE.

This is also not to mention Enzo’s unreal live set, but today is his DJing skills that we have in store for. We are pleased to announce our 94th podcast of the series comes from our resident DJ Josh Guest.

After several years of playing at local venues, Josh started to attract the attention of promoters and music enthusiasts outside of Birmingham. He began playing at clubs across the UK, and soon expanded his reach to Europe and beyond. His minimal sets quickly gained a following, and he became known for his ability to create a hypnotic and immersive atmosphere on the dancefloor.

We look forward to seeing Josh perform at Spatiu Tehnic in Bucharest on Saturday 18th March 2023, where we collaborate with Contrast Romania.

In a time of economic collapse and political unrest, on 4 August, a massive explosion hit Beirut. A large part of the city became rubble and many lives were lost. Repairs of damage and response to tremendous needs on the ground continue to be overwhelming and insufficiently funded. While priority is given to immediate relief and reconstruction, those most vulnerable such as pregnant and lactating women, children, elderly, people with disabilities, etc have special needs which require dedicated attention. Essential work carried out by local NGOs that requires less investment and provides long term impact for those most excluded and vulnerable, remains underfunded and with winter here, the situation is of growing concern. 

Resources gathered will be distributed to local NGOs prioritising people most in need with a high potential of exclusion and discrimination. The projects chosen with support from Impact Lebanon, will aim at providing essential relief, restoring livelihoods and increasing the capacity of small businesses.
