DC Promo Tracks: Eternal Love "Sunset Shampoo"

After a first release by a member of the crew, Love Reaction is proud and humbled to welcome on the label one of Geneva’s rising stars and longtime friend, Mirlaqi.
With this record, he offers a simple yet poetic groove : Disco and balearic in their broadest sense, tinged with his signature touch of Spatial House.
A very personal project, produced in collaboration with family and friends. He has known the instrumentalists on bassoon and sax since high school. The singer, with her spellbound voice, is now a recurring partner, featured on every record he released. He also brought his cousin into the equation, to help him on his journey back to his origins, as she translated parts of the texts to Armenian.


A-side includes the most organic tracks of the record, that, while still suited to make you dance, will also fit perfectly as a soundtrack to end a shiny afternoon in front of the ocean.
On the flip, the clubbier tracks : An original production, This Color, which is the track that inspired the cover art, and a remix by parisian italo-maestro LeonxLeon. Expect the most infectious grooves the balearic spectrum could offer and prepare to dance, not on the beach this time, but rather in orbit, on the red sand of Mars.

Materia Prima - Muchacho

Frankfurt based producer, DJ and music lover Martin Heimann presents his debut single “Salto” on Carry On 008. Remaining faithful to its name, the small label puts out another piece of limited wax every once in a long while.
 
Enrooted in the soundscapes of 80s proto house the original version of “Salto” is a thriving piece of octave liberation. Consistent changes between harmonics break up the repetitive structure, while FM pads and the 303 are performing a little duet. 

The release is ennobled by two proper remixes from Moon B (Peoples Potential Unlimited) and Jex Opolis (Good Timin’). While Moon B keeps it bubblin’ with some extra analogue funk bounce and subtle Italo dance floor energy, the B-Side is Jexi-fied with some embellishment to the cords, change in the bassline and a nice 808 snap. On top Mr. Opolis adds some mysterious but cheesy vocals that match perfect with the moody 80s orchestral stabs.

Here, Joe vibes us out with a stunning Balearic house tune, Cloud Nine. On remix duties we are thrilled to feature a master of the Balearic house scene, Max Essa.

Wonder Stories is a vinyl and digital label for left-field house, disco, and techno. While their sound is eclectic, many similarities can be heard in the ethos of the music. It’s earnest, forward-thinking, and danceable.

At the bar she sat poised and ready, her eyes scanning the room intently. Her lips were painted a deep rouge and her cat-like eyes accentuated with dark eyeliner. Around the room smartly dressed men sat swilling whiskey in their cut glass tumblers, pretending they had important matters of business to discuss. From her seat she tried to catch their eye but most of them averted her gaze, fumbling their glasses or looking at the feet. Everybody here knew who she was and the trouble that she and her deadly beauty brought with her. Many had fallen at her feet before, and many would again. 

Next up on Optimo Music's schedule is a debut EP from Matisa, an Italian-born DJ and producer who brings her sophisticated stylings to the Twitch and Jonnie's imprint. For a first EP the result is a slick, highlighting her love for disco, house and electro, through driving cosmic synths and robotic vocal slivers. Fresh Italo House for the dance floor.

The package fell abruptly from the letterbox to the floor and skidded across the empty room. Outside a rustling could be heard but by the time he reached the handle the culprit would be long gone, who knew what lay inside the mysterious parcel? He plodded across the wooden floorboards, which creaked and echoed as he went. Inside thius old house he rarely received post or correspondence, let alone the type of bubblebag mail that had just landed in his hallway. What could it be and who had the intent to reach him amidst such a far away place?

Lehult are set to release a new EP from Rossum Universal Tracks, a collaboration between to label familiars in the form of Lucky Charmz & Dj Assam. They have teamed up to work on several deep, thoughtful tracks in what makes up "Ebaum's Dreamland".

Timothy Clerkin lands at Sprechen with an E.P. of depth charging chuggy acid units for the late night low slung sleazy fanatics, this slo-mo frenzy is for you.

War Wolf gets us off to a thumping start with war call style chants, panpipes (yes panpies!) and an twanging style bass line that sounds like a Jew's Harp made love to a 303. Serious one to file under 'acid-chug-ALFOS balearic-cosmic style shenanigans.

Acid Drive  does indeed drive at warp factor speed and is heavy on the acid! Peak time punching the air tackle that will surely tipple a few braincells over the edge.

Finishing things off is Tim's very won reprise remix of Night Giant's Bleak House cut..originally supposed to drop last year but held back for his debut E.P. Here he eases off the throttle of the original and goes in for something that wouldn't sound put of place during a sundown set in Croatia.
