Born and raised in Cape Town, music has been a huge part of Max’s life, his mother was a passionate dancer and singer from Sweden and his father a record collector and all round music enthusiast. Max’s life has been constantly filled with music. 
In his high school max joined a band and became their bassist and fell in love with the rhythm section of music. It was not until the end of high school that max got into Psytrance after attending a December Vortex festival, unknown to him on the heavy rhythm influenced side stage, Shroom Zoom was born. As time went by and Max became increasingly interested in djing, fortunately for him the local legend Profound (Alex Marantidis) was offering courses, now equipped with mixing techniques from one of South Africa’s top DJ's, max was off to find his sound!

As a Swedish citizen max moved to Sweden when in August he was fortunate enough to attend Modem Festival in Croatia. Many things blew his mind but it was the subgenera of Forest prog that brought him to his knees. It was everything max was looking for, heavy baselines while having  strong psychedelic effects. This was the beginning of Shroom Zoom, with this project Max aims to bring a heavy and psychedelic experience while creating a groovy and inviting dance floor for everyone. With his new sensei IcaruZ (Robin Griffin) from Intermind Records, max continues to explore the ever evolving genre of Forest prog.

Blaazny is a dark progressive project from Velenje, Slovenia. The story began in 2015 when the world of darkness obsessed his mind as he explored labels such as Erebos Records, Padang Records, Occulta Records etc.. 

He soon started to DJ at events all over Slovenia and Croatia. He is one of the founding members of Universe crew, who were responsible for bringing the psychedelic scene to their valley, organizing high level events with well known artists from all over the world. 

He is now more focused than ever, concentrating on his own productions.  His goal is to spread his love of dark psychedelic music far and wide!

Todays Episode is a really special one not only, because it's my girlfriends birthday, but also because todays episode is a really special one. So to give you all the perfect start in a hopefully perfect week Hedonismus Business presents you a really astonishing music, by a really awesome artist, Dar Kapo from India who is a well known Producer and also Labelmanager of Blackflip Records.
But best of all he can explain himself what makes this set so special: Composed originally in 2014 at 135 bpm and performed live only once at Progressive Awakening (with Slytrance), this spiced up version of Dar Kapo’s liveset will take you on a jumpy psychedelic ride, shifting between light and dark styles. The original file was lost, but the magic of Ableton gave re-birth to this lost memory into a new style at 150 bpm.

Die heutige Podcastpisode ist ein ganz besonderer, nicht nur, weil es der Geburtstag meiner Freundin ist, sondern auch, weil der heutige Podcast ein ganz besonderer ist. Um euch also den perfekten Start in eine hoffentlich perfekte Woche zu ermöglichen, präsentiert Euch Hedonismus Business einen wirklich fantastisches Set, von einem wirklich großartigen Künstler: Dar Kapo aus Indien der nicht nur als Produzent, sondern auch als Labelchef von Backflip Records bekannt ist. Aber er selbst kann am besten erklären was dieses Set so besonders macht: Ursprünglich im Jahr 2014 auf 135 bpm komponiert und nur einmal live bei der Veranstaltung Progressive Awakening (mit Slytrance) aufgeführt, nimmt euch diese aufgepeppte Version von Dar Kapos Liveset mit auf einen sprunghaften psychedelischen Ritt, der zwischen hellen und dunklen Stilen wechselt. Die ursprüngliche Datei war verloren gegangen, aber Dank der Magie Abletons, wurde diese verlorene Erinnerung im neuen Stil auf 150 BPM wiedergeboren.
