After all the funny release quotes we write, we’ve never actually spoken about why and how we came up with the name Box of Cats. It’s a pretty random name for a record label, besides what have cats got to do with music anyway? Well, more than you think… Ever heard of the musical 'CATS', or Love Cats by The Cure, or ’50 Something Cats’ by deadmau5?

Anyway, the true story about cats came from us wanting to have a bunch of friends together with the same vibe. A bunch of cats in a box together. A Box of Cats. Yep, it’s literally that simple. Now with well over 100 artists on our roster, it’s become a pretty big box! We ran out of room, so we bought a bigger box and called it Box of Trax! Fully-fledged, heavy hitting tunes that deserve to be highlighted in a compilation all of their own.

You might recognise some familiar faces like ZOF, Max Kaluza & Osker Wilde and Kimba making their returns. We’ve also tracked down some fresh talent for good measure in the form of GetCosy, Ian Allen & Techneekz and some super fresh new talent by the name of Ricky Bobi!

No need for a ‘fragile’ sticker when boxing these ones up, so don’t be afraid to throw them around. In fact, we encourage it!

Young ATTICUS approached us with this track, and we were immediately intrigued. The title, of course, was quite the eye-catcher, but the production was even more eye-catching.

The Canadian is on the rise, and we love his minimal take on Tech House. Honestly, we feel ATTICUS homage to Mr. Summit should find its way into John's digital crate quickly.

Label boss Mike McFly, by the way, did the honors on the remix. McFleezy took the original, and put his bassy stank sauce on it. That sounds a bit nasty, and we promise you that's exactly what his take on the original is. Nasss-teeee.
