Making his debut on Rebellion, a label that champions music for the early hours, famed DJ, producer and vocalist Kevin Knapp has created four original tracks for the Crosstown Rebels imprint. Ten years since first crossing paths with Damian Lazarus, the stars have finally aligned, resulting in the Find Me EP. 

Baby Luck aka Brittany Ballard features on Find Me with her first ever vocal recording. Lifelong friends, her dynamic vocal fits perfectly over the bubbling baseline. “It’s been super dope working with a vocalist other than myself, and solely wearing the producer’s hat in that creative dynamic. Distinguished for his filthy house cuts, Kevin has a created a deeply charming EP, reinforcing his position within the dance scene. A man of many skills, the US born artist started out by DJing in San Francisco for notorious clubs such as Werd and Housepitality and after relocating to Berlin his career catapulted and a global touring schedule ensued. Always staying true to his sound, Kevin has previously released on Hot Creations, Viva Music, Material and Dirtybird Records among others.

Mihalis Safras makes his debut on Hot Creations with his Raygun Rave EP. Hard-hitting basslines and rolling melodies feature throughout the EP plus a ‘Paradiso’ remix from Mathias Kaden.

With an addictive and melodic bass, title track Raygun Rave is a dancefloor awakener with influence from a bygone era. One Stop to Babel is up next with bouncing bass and mesmeric synthesis; Mathias Kaden has reinvented the track on the flip, incorporating robotic synths and wavy vocals. Finally, Sagit has a muted bassline, with a springy melody throughout and a hard-hitting kick that makes an appearance halfway.

Since 2006, the Material Series co-founder has been steadily rising within the house scene. Hailing from the city of Athens, Safras has had an impressive array of releases on numerous labels including Cajual, Relief and Material. His Play it Loud remix for Marco Carola last year received a huge response catapulting him to new levels of stardom.
Producing since 2001, Kaden has demonstrated his versatile style and individual approach throughout his career. Alongside his DJing capabilities, the German producer demonstrated his impeccable freestyle efficiency playing part-live sets throughout his album tour. Often called upon for his remix abilities, he has featured alongside artists such as Mathias Tanzmann, Anja Schneider and Trentemöller.

For number 64 we are joined by Shaleen, a talented Djane and producer who has supported us from the beginning and who we had the pleasure of hosting at some of our own parties as well as at one of our first out-of-town parties in Essen. Her resumé is impressive, with acts across Germany and in such illustrious clubs as Griessmühle or the Säule at Berghain, sharing the ballot with names such as Somewhen, Ellen Allien and AnD. In addition to that she has been involved with many influential techno labels including the Seelen imprint and has recently been signed to the legendary B-Pitch label, next to running her own party-series SURD. Definitely someone to look out for!
