Prelude in Sí

This epic orchestration paints a musical picture of a storm at sea. A ship tosses to and fro as it battles the raging ocean. Lightning flashes, thunder rolls, the wind roars, and the waves crash against the noble vessel as it struggles to stay afloat and see the dawn. Can you hear them?

The final track of my 2014 public release, "Remember". This track tells a brief history of the United States of America, using the Star Spangled Banner, numerous patriotic tunes, and several hymns. The Mayflower, the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, the Wild West, the Second World War, the 9/11 terror attacks, and even Yankee Doodle have each found their way into this piece. My name's Carter Elkins, and I'm a musician/composer. I've played the piano for 10 years now, and I also write orchestral compositions (you can find recordings of both here). I have Bachelor's degrees in both Sacred Music and Biblical Studies, obtained at Ezekiel School of Church Music.

My life's calling is to be a music missionary to Germany. My life's passion is making a difference in the lives of people around me, using music. My life's motto is taken from the words of the greatest musician of all time, J.S. Bach: "Soli Deo Gloria" - "To the Glory of God Alone".
