From his maverick techno beginnings as Luke’s Anger, the man born Luke Sanger has more recently evolved into the enigmatic Duke Slammer. The result is an irresistibly wonky alchemy of 1980s influenced boogie, acid, electro-funk, skweee and house, that sounds like it was mastered by an astro-pimp from the year 2080. Q. How long have you been involved in the NY music scene?
A. I would say 7 years.

Q. Tell us a little bit about this mix.
A. This mix was a therapy and a necessity for me to make. I usually don’t get the chance to make non-dance mixes because I always tend to DJ in the style of what I would do in a club context. 

But now that we are all experiencing this pandemic, I realized how it was important to share some of my favorite soothing music to people. I have an extensive collection of non-dance music songs that I would like to be sharing with more people..
