I lost my little brother (Jeffrey Andre Oakley) on July 9, 2016.   He was the reason I began doing music, the reason I fell in love with the art of writing.  This project is dedicated to him.  He was born on 12/17/91.... Through me the dreams he had will turn into reality #lootworld #longliveloot

Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, JP Caruzzo began his career after his move to Atlanta, following a brief pursuit of a football career.

With no interest initially, JP credits his early love of music to his younger cousin Loot, who ultimately inspired him to start writing after collaborating on a song together.
