Voce's genesis lies in the fusion of old-school trance experimentation and groovy, organic progressive sounds. Like all tracks by Artic White, it began with a piano composition, evoking the nostalgic melodic progressions of the 90s. The track's sonic palette mirrors the euphoric synths of that era. To add a spark to the main progression, he incorporated old-school vocal chops, following the same melody. This led to the title: VOCE, the Italian word for VOICE.

This quote from French writer Victor Hugo captures what has always driven Cary Crank: the search for a language rich and nuanced enough to express what moves him most deeply.

From an early age, Cary knew that music was his voice. Growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, he witnessed the birth of techno firsthand and immersed himself fully in its evolving soundscapes. With roots in rock guitar and early electronic experimentation, he eventually found his true artistic home in the world of Progressive House and Melodic Techno.

Since 2018, Cary has released music on acclaimed labels such as Univack, Mango Alley, and Steyoyoke Black, as well as on his own imprints Sunexplosion and Cranking Sounds. His productions regularly appear in the Beatport charts, including a #1 in Progressive House and Track of the Year recognition in 2024.

Cary’s music is known for its analog warmth, emotional depth, and strong sense of narrative. His DJ sets are far more than track selections—they are deep, progressive journeys, shaped by tension, flow, and emotion. Whether on club stages or streaming platforms, he creates immersive experiences that resonate long after the final beat. Praise from peers and fans alike affirms his unique sonic identity:

In 2025, Cary launched his personal podcast series Deep Rotation on SoundCloud and YouTube.
