Wassup, 

This is my latest mix, assembled and recorded during the "purple phase" (which means, "beyond red") of the covid-19 pandemics here in SP, Brazil. 
So you would better expect an intrincate mix of feelings here, ranging from bouncing ebm to pitch-dark rapid-fire techno with an eye on shoegazey coldwave. 

This mix represents the mix of emotions I've been experiencing lately while trying to build my profile as an artist (and as a person overall) in such a harsh period - personal, professional and covid-19-wise. 

Moreover, this is my own birthday gift for completing my 34th revolution around the sun as of today, April 10th. I just think I deserve it - and so do you all.

A re-recorded version of a live DJ set I did at ctenus666 x trenchcoat here in Rio, June 2nd 2023 - memories could be bit fuzzy, mind you. 

I tried to explore a little bit of everything I've been listening lately, in order to create a quite gender non-conforming mix - ranging from lush darkwave to gritty techno body music.

In my opinion, that's a good representation of what have caught my ears lately. In some sense, it will be reflected in the new tracks I plan to release later during this month - so please make note on that.

I'm Carza987 (they/theirs), a queer Astrophysicist and DJ/producer currently based in the tropical sprawl of the Rio de Janeiro city, Brazil - which also happens to be my hometown. After stints in Cape Town, Genève and São Paulo, I started learning how to DJ around mid-2020, when in isolation due to covid-19 lockdown after returning to Brazil. Turned out I loved the experience, and I've been DJing in local goth clubs/events since then - not to mention producing their own tracks under the Kosmologyst987 moniker for nearly a year now. Here I present a 60-min, 132-bpm DJ set gravitating around some deep, murky and dark realms of techno I've been digging recently. This set also includes three new tracks of mine, still unreleased (and unfinished), that will temptatively see the light of the day by late September. or early October. Hope you enjoy! <3

Whassup! 

My first ever mix finally came into "light". I've tried to combine all musical elements I enjoy, sounding menacing, abbrasive yet ethereal and blissful at some moments - like the stream of emotions we sometimes experience in our lives. 

This mix took nearly 6 months to come in this final form. I'm really grateful to @nikkatze for her mentorship and kindness which made this possible.  <3
