In a spontaneous and absolute manner, the sonic encounter between Murillo (mandruvá) and Marina (Selva Leoa) quickly resulted in collaborating and producing a track. Gathering skills, their primordial idea evoked a depth, with almost three minutes, including the melodies of piano, flute, synths, drums and almost all percussion. From then on, there were six months of “ping-pong” and thus, added with new instruments and the main one of the track: the vocals and its lyrics. In this way, the entire work was light and fluid, as the track itself represents, resulting in depth and engagement, dancing and introspection. Both artists already knew each other from other productions or sets, and this made it crystal clear for them to be something irrefutable and easy to partner with. This is a song that questions the speaking mind and embraces the silent soul.

O encontro sonoro entre Murillo (mandruvá) e Marina (Selva Leoa) ocorreu de forma espontânea e absoluta, onde rapidamente se juntaram para produção de uma faixa em colaboração. A ideia primordial evocou uma profundidade, com quase três minutos, incluindo as melodias de piano, flauta, synths, bateria e quase toda percussão. A partir daí, foram seis meses de “ping-pong” e assim, somados com novos instrumentos e o principal da faixa: o vocal e sua letra. Todo o trabalho foi leve e fluido, como representa a própria faixa, resultando em profundidade e envolvimento, dança e introspecção. Ambos artistas já se conheciam de outras produções ou sets, e isso facilitou para que fosse algo irrecusável e de fácil parceria. Esta é uma música que questiona a mente que fala e abraça a alma que cala.

Stephan and Stephan, Stephan squared. Hailing from Rostock in Germany, the pair of DJs Stelzenläufer & lockige Ostsee have been dedicating their souls to the project Faultierdisko for the last four years, coupled with the several parties promoted in thei home town; their local radio boadcast once a month, their (incredible) curatorship through Faultierdisko channel here on Soundcloud.

Contrasting moods – the calmer versus the uplifting, blending the unexpectable – through almost 134 minutes, the duo selected a truly deep versatile mix. The first part came from Stelzenläufer and the second part was done by lockige Ostsee. Undoubtedly a true celebration of slow electronic music!

Obviously passionate about music, Cristiano Pereira a.k.a. picão is a DJ with Portuguese roots who grew up in the Blackforest but lives currently in Berlin. Collecting and sharing music with a huge spectrum — digital and on vinyl, picão started spinning records in Stuttgart a couple years ago when organizing open airs and parties with his chosen family 'allesamt'.

This 221st edition was supposed to be played at an open air in the early evening that picão unfortunately couldn't play and we thought that IST series would be a great home for this 83-min sonic ride. Within a variation of organic, rhythmic and minimalistic downtempo cruising from groovy to dreamy to dark and in love with trippy elements, the mixtape is all about a truly smooth-dancefloor selection.

Born in the mid-80s, Mia Lunis found herself in music at the age of 9 when she accidentally tuned into a radio that was playing classical music. Raised in São Paulo's industrial area, had her first contact with local clubs in 2004. Later in 2012 Mia was enchanted by downtempo and its infinite possibilities of bringing to light so many references marked by her extensive musical research, redesigned her musical project in 2014 under her former project Burkamina. Nowadays, after a Europe's tour, countless hours of DJing and some years ahead of experience, Mia is part of Planet Ibiza where she interviews artists from the world electronics scene in the series "No Bullshit Talk", curating the podcast series called EBC and founded a hub for artists called World Citizen.

Recorded at Mia's home, in São Paulo, this 222nd edition is a kind of tribute and at the same time a closing cycle of musical research she's done lately, all the artists selected for this mix have been part of her musical repertoire for a long time. Now she's getting ready for a new journey of musical research that intends to be presented on her second European tour in 2023. Just hit the play and enjoy these well-marked beats!

kośa is a soundsmith, the alter ego of Tarun Jakhodia; a designer, DJ and head of bringing to the table aromas and extracts of comtemporary mixing — downtempo, acid house and minimal deep-tech ranging from 80 to 120 bpm, electronic yet organic tunes, deep hypnotic meditative grooves and solid kicks infused with Indian, Arabic and other ethnic influences which they beautifully term 'spiritual deeptech' a genre coined by kośa, rooted in the deepest part of India's underground scene located in Pune near the bustlin city of Bombay.

Recorded live on a nice breezy Sunday in his apartment's balcony, the 102-min mixtape crafted by kośa as our 224th edition took inspiration in some of their upcoming secret weapons releases, several projects and EPs on the way. So you betta taste the freshness of it!

With the exception of Soundcloud, the German Stefan Fritz keep himself a low-profile and left social media completely a year ago, we don't even know if it's his real name for sure (joke ends). Despite that, the declarated mountain-lover Stefan lives in the Bavarian elevations near the Austrian border  and shares music as other passion.

Physically, this 225th edition was recorded in his basement studio affectionately called BoilerRomm as it is located behind the boiler room where no one can be disturbed by the music. And for over 100 minutes the German DJ somehow is telling you that slow music can also be danced to.

We've been addicted to listening the original music that draws from his high-powered productions. Are you ready for utter tranquillity or full-on action? Arutani's debut Luces Del Recuerdo EP set the mood for both due to the fact that rides into a funny minimal desert, in other hand it also be a solitude's land where introspection takes care of everything. 
Each song beatifully transcends with impressive exhibition of organic taste and also represents a long temporal sequences of thrilling movements. Together these three tracks encapsulates a complete absence of disturbances or restlessness of the mind, it might brings up memories's flashlights like looking through a fogged mirror. Besides the EP questions the thinking about how we take advantage of our memories, how intense they can be on the point of provide a noble and charming extension of an idealized reality.
This release counts with an artistic partneship production of the multi-disciplined design's officer PLDR195 and the artwork brings some inspiration  on examples of everyday items that we can reuse and convert into some pretty cool items, why not even artworks? It uses paper, cardboard, soil, and similar stuff to creat a mini-scenery which candidly reflects a sparkling atmosphere.
We believe that is a hiper-mellow-modern EP which celebrates a positive electronic scene and reminds us to learning from each other while doin' it.

This EP should give you an insight into one of the freshest producers out there at the moment, the German @lukasendhardt. He grew up among the most diverse kinds of big and small percussion instruments since his father is a Latin jazz percussionist. He always have felt connected to rhythms from cultures that are not his own. In one way or another, it has led a life deep in several rhythms. 
His catalogue includes much-loved work; most obvious thing you will hear is the focus on Brazilian rhythms. Lately Lukas had been very fascinated by the religions based on Yoruba traditions, especially Brazilian Candomblé. By the looks of it, we can understand how Babalaô EP was born. In Yoruba culture Babalaô (Babalawo) is the priest dedicated to the worship of Orunmila-Ifá, epiphany of divination. 
In that light, Lukas has created a work peppered with catchy tunes to provide us a cultural extrapolation. Therefore, this is not just about synthesis between two musical cultures but also between relaxing chill out music and highly energetic themes. All highlighted by his own hallucinogenic filter.
His mother, Burga Endhardt, painted the art that draws the cover. We can notice some similarities between EP & artwork: widely warming, organic taste, kind of surrealness too. It includes different layers, natural forms and shapes. We think that is a picture-perfect match.
Since it is deep, dubby, laid-back but always driving, the four tracks are geared for the dance floor. Nevertheless, certain elements reveal a hidden fringe where Lukas are serving contemplative realness. Besides the three original tracks by Lukas, we also have a penetrating perspective channeled in @arutani’s remix, delivered as a striking extra for the listener.
In short, the EP is a useful indicator for where Lukas is at right now stylistically and reflects as a direct correlation with our motto: slow is the new fast and awesome too

Steffen Kirchhoff — Shakana

With a heart and mind touching perspective Janoma (@janoma) showcases his refreshingly versatile selection with skill and artistry, we thought it about time to invite him to IST podcast series. As a studied urban ecosystem scientist he still stays close to nature. As a world-traveler especially loves to create spherical open­air moments with his organic and integrated repertoire.

This 77th edition is part of a playlist prepared for his birthday party at the Berlin club Beate Uwe. Smooth, vigorous, captivating. Masterfully well prepared body-oriented session — to get lost in. It is probably influenced by the long lasting winter in Germany. Icy temperatures. Little sunshine. At the same time, the 64-min mixtape was peppered with Janoma's love. By way of analogy, one could compare this mixtape to a cake. This being said, who wants a slice of this delicious one?

What happens when producers face the challenge of reimagining the tracks of other producers? Remixes EP is not something new. Nonetheless, we've been thinking about how interesting it would be to offer this thought-provoking such thing on our catalogue. Then for our newest release, the experimental-sounds-rock-climber-avid-traveler-outdoor-enthusiast Nathan Hall(@nathanhall-1) has hand picked three heavenly producers to remix tracks from his debut EP: Squamish. It still remains as a small escape from thoughts, a heavily effected one-off adventure. This time around, however, under heady doses of mind-blowing "re-configurations".

The collection features three unique reworkings. EP's first track “DuaDua“, reworded by Discoshaman (@discoshaman), struts a playful spirit that rules an interesting mood .The “Viento del Bosque” remix on the EP was done masterfully by Stephen Kirchhoff (@steffenkirchhoff) who creates a mystery-inside-you atmosphere revision, everything in its right place. For gentle night listening, “Night Wind” is remixed by Temple(@tmplsound), we can see slowness insights around every corner. The whole package will draw attention to unadvised listeners and, also, it is constructed like a outlook that weaves and unweaves the captive listener's ears.

Nathan Hall — DuaDua (Discoshaman Remix)

After two months of the resourceful EP "O Futuro do Passado" presented by the Portuguese duo Ohxalá (@ohxala), we are delighted to release this remix EP. The duo consciously selected collaborations with diverse artists, which gave a gripping mystery as the four remixes resonate sequentially. The raw nature and essence from the original EP remain, and beforehand we all gain accurate and vigorous remixes.

"Ovoavoa" gains an elegant and delicate version proposed by Thommie G. The second track is a remix of "Ossâim" delivered by our dearly beloveds Maracuyá & Nillo, the track was celestially reconfigured.  Under the unique and vibrant perspective of Dandara, "Urubu Violeta" gains a toned delirious. Finishing the selection, a second remix of "Ossâim" was born in MiRET's hands, he spared no effort to remix a devastatingly consistent track.

As always we are targeting slow pace feelings - which certainly does not lack when dealing with this remix EP. These 27min filtered onto four gold-coated interpretations are one of our emphatic invitations in order to you explore and discover the mysteries that surround downtempo's independent music scene. Reflect upon the past, look at the future, the future in the past is always an interim report.

Ohxalá — Ossâim (MiRET Remix)

At the end of the European summer season, a living-room session prepared by the German duo Kahl & Kæmena(@kahl-kaemena) comes to us. They work together as a team since meeting in February 2015, while Kahl is responsible for the selection Kæmena adds her improvisations with her piano edits what is really exciting. Every time Kæmena is playing different which means their sets are never the same, even if they would again play the same songs.

This 97th edition is a one cut live-improvisation-session 97min based on the experiences of the summer festivals they played between June and August early this year. It's pretty much a pleasing delicate flavour compilation that aims to bring livingness from this festival summer tour together so we are sure you will not find anything similar out there.

IST 097\Kahl & Kæmena

Nowadays, the name Kaöb can be thought of as Arno Brak's alter ego and it is certainly a chance for the French electronic music producer to discover another side of himself, especially knowing that he has been producing music for almost a decade under his namesake. Arno is a free-spirited person who grew up surrounded by the intensity and color of an artistic family, whereas this restless adventurer had travelled through 30 countries, and still counting... 

In order to unveil this new chapter in his artistic career, he takes a different approach from his earlier productions. The three-track EP titled “Pangaea” invokes the most frequently referenced supercontinent Pangaea that incorporated almost all the landmasses on our planet, and the pieces now account for Earth's current continents. Pangaea existed about hundreds of millions of years ago. That is long before humans started to evolve. 

Nevertheless, it is within this geologic history that he moulds an action-packed adventure beyond tracks whose pace encompass mysticism, nature and a straightforward genre fusion. “Mbuti Aruwimi” makes reference to a native people of the Congo who live strongly connected with the jungle near of the river Aruwimi. “Noüs Sphaira” is a Greek word that designates the sphere of human thought which brings together all the cerebral and mechanical activities of memorization and information processing. “Kaakelimbo” closes the selection with its hypnotic mantra-type stylish. 

Without any doubt, the EP reinforces the feeling that we are part of the same family in the experience of life. It also includes a dynamic playing, culminating in a crystal clear tribute to multiculturalism, to unity, to human consciousness. Humankind, animals, plants, ancestors, past lives. A marvelous world.

After 99 editions at a total of 117 hours delivered by several producers and djs, there is no doubt that it has been a long worldwide journey before ending up in our 100th edition. On this special occasion, the German electronic producer Jacob Groening (@jacobgroening) closes up this first series "chapter". Casa Caos will make a little break and we will be back soon. 
  
On this 100th edition Jacob shows off his unique ways of communicating with an audience through an ah-mazing live session during his most recente US tour, on a sunny September afternoon in Miami. Initially planned to be a faster set that afternoon groove took him to a much slower pace. Somehow it became this fluffy set sprinkled with colorful tracks, including some of his friends’ most recents productions, his latest creations and a few of old favorites. Nothing more to say just play.

IST 100\Jacob Groening

Turkish electronic producer Omerar Nanda essentialy takes music as one of the central themes of his life and, rooted in the sounds and philosophies of a new tecnological and social era, he certainly did not skimp on the effort to incorporate traditional ethnic folk rhythms into a contemporary electronic music. 

For his downtempo debut EP whose title come from the made-up word 'Soulve' (soul+solve), he is pointing out the moot fact that no one really knows about soul clearly, even tough we know is forever changing. Then, by this line of reasoning, this three-track package shows off his own perspective about the soul's unresolved riddle. 

A meticulous instrumentation background featuring tempting voices, mesmerizing cadences and a huge sense of connection, briefly describe this rich piece of work that even the most distracted listener won't be able to deny; we cannot ignore this calling.

Having already an active involvement with electronic music and beyond managing his own label Karakter Records (@karakter-records) or playing in all corners of Europe, the Portuguese Amsterdam-based DJ and music producer Pedro Martins (@pedro-martins-music) has released previous works on labels such Areal, Submarine Vibes & Blankhaus; tracks which represents different faces of his musical apprenticeship. But after taking two years off from production, he returns with refreshed ideas and insights channeled into his brand new EP entitled ‘Kerala’, featuring the clarinetist Martin Grozdanoski.

In point of fact, this work is the first in a series of four ‘chapters’, from whence the original idea was to create an epic sonic from India to Portugal via Morocco. This is due, mainly, to the huge amount of material collected when Martin came to play the clarinet in Pedro’s studio early this year. Together, they realized that to juggle things around it would be better to approach the recordings in sequential EP’s, therefore, taking full advantage of the whole material which has been recorded. At this very moment, Casa Caos proudly releases the beginning of this saga.

Bathed by the Arabian Sea in the extreme southwest of India, Kerala is one of the 28 states of the country, well-known for its coconut palm-lined coasts, a lethargic ensemble of backwaters, stately houseboats and tea-covered hills. Under this laid-back scenario, they put together an intense tropical soundscape blended in quite mysterious timbres and melodies. Pedro played the djembe & congas while the theme in the clarinet was heavenly leaded by Mr. Grozdanoski. 

Despite many instances in which they’ve exploited the composition, there is a continual tenseness curving around, which nicely contrasts with the receptive atmosphere between wind instruments and reverberating elements. To complete the package for an all-around downtempo experience the EP includes a trustworthy multi-layered remix by the ancestral futuristic Portuguese producer BirdZzie (@birdzzie).

Short but not forgettable, sounding warm and intimate, the creative spirit is clearly heard throughout ‘Kerala EP’. And as a result, each listening holds a new discovery on this tropical symphony. Even if the sequencing still has to be tabled, this first of four chapters certainly provides an assertive starting point.

It's been 15 years since Luis Rosenberg (@luisrosenberg) spinned his first records. He grew up in Vienna and soon started living and traveling around the world, where he developed his 'globetrotter style' before ending up in Berlin eight years ago.

Over the course of time, Luis established an unique way when it comes to creating a sonic experience. The groove chaser builds up an acoustic spectrum, that feels like a welcoming breeze of fresh air. He is combining instrumental tracks with enchanting voices and electronic atmospheres. Listening to his mixtapes makes it clear that he is influenced by places all over the world.

Our 124th edition couldn't be more diverse. The Austrian is delivering a 72-min session filled up with unexpected surprises. If we could transform our minds into vehicles, now would be the time to start our engines in order to take a ride through this musical journey.

In December 2018, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) turns 70. Designed to prevent the repetition of the horrific human rights violations that had been committed during World War II, this landmark document has been ratified by the majority of countries. Up to now it seems that the UDHR has fallen on hard times; that's certainly not perfect, and somehow it is important to point out that emphasises individualism over community. Don't deceive yourself, UDHR remains as significant today as it was in 1948. However, reflection becomes easier when we realize that the saddest chapters of human history are ultimately derived from the ideology of domination.

Given its unique rational nature, only the individual is able to use reason to perform an act. Going further, we should understand why our interests often prevail to the detriment of the interests of other species. In fact, if we exam closely, we're always reclaiming the world as our own. Sometimes it made us drift from a tender-hearted logic.

Hovering over these aspects, the compilation MUX in its fourth edition put us through the wringer! Have you ever noticed or had the feeling that social solidarity is more and more undermined? The drama of the modern human which causes individuals to become commodities of exchange such as capital goods. It resumes every morning, but always with the decentralized, crooked, fragmenting self. In contrast, even though we still do not have a fair and peaceful world, we have to believe that there will be regeneration. There's a smell of good years coming, our hopes are placed in some future ahead. We want to believe.

Beyond this duality, under two parts - [a] & [b] - MUX vol.4 put together a wide spectrum of artists that prepared tracks with a semblance of freedom, faith, dignity. Undoubtedly, an "ethereal, humanoid and dancing" facet guides this sonic miscellany, where judgements of value aren’t fit and nothing feels the same as it did. It call us to take our emptiness away, to eradicate the dark selfishness that still inhabits our hearts.

In the endeavor of progress we are beings in constant evolution, without the knowledge of ourselves there is no inner transformation. <3

Wanduta — The Blues And You

The music that Polish artist Kamil Mokrzanowski also known as Kapoor makes is truly spontaneous. Living in a small city called Żyrardów, the DJ & electronic producer stepped his game up after a brilliant and impressive year of hard working. Blossoming above a rapidly maturing experience – no matter what new directions he decides to take. So far, ranging from deep tribal sounds to hypnotic slowtempo driven by unearthly vocals. 

In our 142th edition, Kapoor prepared a mixtape with a reflective and vibrant skin. Fusing otherworldly sonic surroundings and a twisting mood, being the most important factor the equilibrium which adds even more value to the storytelling. Also, it’s hard to decide how much evenness to expect from the sequence, you just have to continue on, open to the surprises you will find along the way.

IST 142\Kapoor

Over the last years, the 28 years old Argentinian Gabriel Epstein has been investigating and recording ethnic and tribal sounds worldwide. When he’s not travelling over long distances and working as an actor, the producer finds the time to make music, focused on the gathering of instrumental live music and its heart-felt effect on people, by using flutes, kalimbas, Didjeridu, jew's harp and native drumming elements. From that, we have Janax Pacha, which means the land of Heaven ("tierra del Cielo" in native Andean language), and Gabriel senses it not just as an artistic name, in fact, it's a concept, a meeting point between music and dance. It blends field recordings, analog and digital synthesizers, acoustic instruments and soulful shamanic chants, in order to provide the genuine style Janax Pacha is.

"Tierra Del Cielo" EP aims to get people on to their feet and smiling, to get people more connected to their essence, getting rid of noise distraction, heartbeat slowed down; keeping it quite simple the majority of the time but throwing a variety of instruments. Into the opening track 'Bamboo', it enacts a common ritual of indigenous medicine in the quiet bamboo woods, where a fine, aromatic powder should be blown through the nostrils, bringing peace, energy, scaring away laziness of those who use it, therefore, blowing sounds and wooden instruments as the Pancuyo and Marimba compose the theme. By its turning, 'Rainbow Child' is the result of a jamming session with his shamanic guide Cristian Tao. So, the arrangements and percussions played by Gabriel, creates a real matching for the savvy vocals of Cristian. Lastly, 'Canoa', where the artist idealizes himself in a canoe on the Amazon River, sitting next to a divine mythological being. In this scenario, three different drums add motion to the scene; two of them linked by the percussionist tribes who occupy both riverbanks and the last one hovering over the canoe. And it all comes with a sober minimalist artwork created by the Argentinian visual artist Leni.

Taking this as a starting point, our 32th release is delivered by two musical projects and three singular individuals, from the friendship and affinity between the DJs and musical producers AVGVSTVS & mandruvá as 'Pérola Branca' and Pierre Brouillet as 'Da Iguana'. Anacronismos (Anachronisms) isn't just a peculiar name for the EP, in this case and for the lack of appropriate word, also reflects the way its structure relates the tracks as a 'back-to-back' production, with original tracks and remixes from both sides. 

Marked by the multiple facets of downtempo/midtempo and also having a quirky, off-beat sense of conception, the Brazilian open-minded project Pérola Branca adds bounce and motion throughout the EP. By the other hand, the French beat-lover beardead reptile Da Iguana adds sophistication and a scenic portrayal, mainly mixing roots, genres and styles with open-mindness & passion. Hence, the concept behind the whole EP is based on the nonlinearity of the two main tracks - 'Setting Sun, Mad City Spirits' by Da Iguana and 'Canoeros del Fin del Mundo' by Pérola Branca. Featuring simultaneously disparate and congruent sounds. Pierre situates his music in an urban environment, entrenched in sub and hiphop beats, while Canoeros evokes a ritualistic and ancestral energy. 

Then, they have crystallized their references into four tracks that propose an electroprimitivist voyage; from a metropolitan atmosphere, marked by dry bass lines with broken beats, to ancestral ambiences, with ritualistic rhythms and flutes interspersed with hypnotic synthesizers. 'Canoeros del Fin del Mundo' was created in early 2019, when Pérola Branca decided to enjoy slower, trance-inducing rhythms, at a time when they're fascinated by Random Collective's discography. Then, they sent the track to Da Iguana proposing a remix, since they felt a really connection with his current productions, but Pierre also responded back with the track 'Setting Sun, Mad City Spirits', also proposing a remix. So, it ended up in a package of experimental compasses and warm dreamy textures.

Genres are tricky. However, for those three they seem to twist through time and space, not being any stumbling block.  And from this context that each one proposes, both communicate anachronically in electro-organic textures. The fact that they make their art calmly, according to the contexts of their lives and in order to continue learning and evolving, is what makes the work more attractive, because it certainly is fluid and genuine as it supposed to be. Thus, appropriate or not, this EP intertwines the old, the new, and the old with the new; it is a clipping of their artistic moments, musical creations that walk purposefully into experimental electronic music's boardwalk.

Da Iguana — Setting Sun, Mad City Spirits

Gabriela Nemitz is Brazilian and Claudio Arditti is Argentine. Gabriela is a model and psychologist by profession, from a family of musicians; Claudio has been working in the electronic scene for about 30 years, in addition to producing music. Together, creatively integrate themselves into the Chile-based duo VosyYo, a new electronic music project - seriously, a brand-new one since they only started working together a few months ago. There’s no major stylistic unity in the production line, as part of the magic of their productions which blur the sound lines inspired by styles as samba, rock, rap and folk. Moreover, the aim is always the same: to give listeners an opportunity to dive into different worlds within electronic music, a diverse package of emotions - from euphoria, happiness and exaltation to melancholy.

Originally was born in Chile, but the project's productions tend to be more closely linked to Argentine and Brazilian aesthetics, but nothing surprising, given the members' origins. Claudio started playing since he was a little boy with cassette tape and vinyl, soon he was exploring each new manner of making music that was emerging, for several years now he's a music producer, with his personal namesake project and two other dual projects - INMD and Zsanchos. In turn, Gabriela began to explore her skills in this area at the same time that she begins her involvement with the duo and, clearly, a penchant for music is evident and she adds a ballsy, blow-’em-away tone with her voice. In addition to their convergent desire to produce, somehow, VosyYo is a homegrown electronic project having started as a joke, mainly recording sounds and voices in their spare time at home, and after warm feedback the project takes shape, standing in direct opposition to the sameness.

Unlike many other releases, this thirty-fifth is more expressive than introspective. As a glimpse of fresh Chilean electronic music, the three-track EP 'Gata Groovera EP' includes at its composition a cover, an original track and a remix, however simple even in duration, about 18 minutes, it overflows innovative rhythmic bending, encompassing a range of esoteric feel-good electronica , obscure in meaning surroundings, sometimes shrill, mysteriously metallic moods. The cover track 'Garota de Ipanema' - Brazilian bossa nova and MPB song, composed by Antônio Carlos Jobim and written by Vinicius de Moraes in 1962 - is basically thought of the longing and nostalgia that this song brings to Gabriela and to many other Brazilians who are far from the country or who simply remember the old glamour good-times. In an allegorical and transverse way, VosyYo recreates this Brazilian classic with elegance in details. The second track, the original that gives the EP its name, makes reference to the favela, the stigmas and stereotypes that accompany it - criticizing the image of a society polarized between those who are “integrated” and those who are “excluded”, using enthusiastic grooves and a poetic voice that resonates in protest. And to conclude the repertoire, the Brazilian guest-remixer AVGVSTVS delivers an uplifting reshaped reggaeton, with driven and spontaneous elements.

Unified by a real-life relationship, certainly VosyYo still has a lot to reveal of its productions, but with a debut EP, with peaks and troughs, and giving lots of different dynamics, they already set an eclectic affair as their motto. Then, between geographic and mental journeys, VosyYo plays fearlessly, using several references to build what we ultimately call 'music for beach chairs', the one to relax and to dissolve in the freshness of whatever you want to.
