Imagine the following: a 13-year-old boy seated in front a video game console; exploring raw sounds to create his own music universe, facing endless possibilities. Grown up in southeast France, this boy was Alaix Pulse. Music was always the center of his universe. In 2005, he has started to produce on real synthesizers and drum machines. A call went out for electronic music. Working with several digital audio workstations during almost five years, he has stepped up his attitude. This process allowed him to glimpse the instigating e-music outer space. Building a future from scratch the French 28-year-old delivers his debut Exhale EP. 

This 4-track-EP approaches the fact that life changes constantly. Twists and turns. Last year he went to Australia and had the chance to live a profound experience: went to live in a hut at the bottom of a hill in the middle of a rainforest. No electricity. Three months exploring his relationship with nature, as a means of connection, revival. Once back home Alaix felt the sting of every single one of those memories. A whirlwind. From there we got Exhale EP. Its pleasing cadence will take you to somewhere that you dive gently. The four witty tracks are stories that exhale the smell of the earth, of the people, of life. 

The magical handmade wood mask used on the artwork translates a watchful sense for the magic that happen in the world. Open mouth, eyes peeled, a keen sense of adaptation and intuition. After all, be aware that certain complex questions will require time for research. It acts as a stimulus to call humankind’s ethereal forces. Moreover, this strengthens the perspective that we can go to somewhere different to learn about who we are.
